    “Nice to see the VS brought into line some more with the other two factions tho.......VS with bullet drop on their shotguns, who would have thought it :)
    Kinda funny that they nerfed one of the few under used weapon and ammo combos where the Vanu faction trait actually gives an advantage, yet the clear advantages that the TR's higher magazine capacity on nearly all their weapons remains unnerfed. I thought asymmetrical balanced allowed for outliers like this? I guess I was wrong. Doesn't affect me one bit though since I'm not a slug sniper.

    What you have failed to mention is that TR weapons do the least dmg per bullet .....so the faster fire rate brings us in line with yours no way are the TR OP compared to the vanu infantry weapons.....
    Most weapons are situation and if you do not equip the right weapon for the terrain or base you are in you will always feel under powered anyway :)..........

    Sorry to announce this ya'll, but unexpected problem popped up. While our devs were too lazy to make a script that would adjust a few values listed on the 1st page and decided that it would be easier to just copy a 1GB chunk of game for your convenience, something went wrong along the way.
    We know that about 50% of you (TR and NC) were really looking forward to this ZOE nerf, but we'll revert the game to its previous state for the time being (let's say another 3 months)

    The first thing I'm going to do when the servers come up is spawn an ESF in Esamir, fly low and destroy all the mofos that are wasting their time by running circles on a flash motorbike trying to find the holy grail of the snowmen.

    Didn't you know?
    The Phoenix and Lancer both ignore the bright glowing light shields. Hit the metal part (Even what is covered behind the shield) and it's an OHK.

    If its anything like EQ2 you would login and see all the progress from the last few nights gone because the client side only stored backups every couple of days. When the server came up and the client could sync with the server everything popped back again.

    I reckon that's why your characters have gone because there's no client side storage with PS2.

    They'll be back when they fix everything.

    By adding value. Make the cool downs a huge amount longer so that even fully certed you cant just pull one after another. Fine make a tank zerg .. you can do one a day and it wont keep rolling it will dry out.

    Make resource slower. Make people value vehicles rather than treating them as throw away objects.

    I think nerfing the weapons and stuff is wrong in general. I think its a "quick fix" to the complaint not an objective view on how to make the game right. Id rather see bigger health on tanks and engineers can only repair them in a base owned by their faction. Or that you can repair it once. Then you have to go back to base.

    I really would like something in between the ArmA series and Planetside. Not so realistic it makes you puke. but realistic enough that when you get a tank or ESF you can really get some kills and some fun time. Where they actually have to co-ordinate to bring you down.

    40 kills and you can pick between an ESF or a TANK. One with REAL rockets that actually blows **** up and moves fast.

    ANYONE that has played another game with planes or flying ships will tell you how slow ESF's feel unless your afterburning your *** off.

    Again .. I dont mind having to die 10 times to bring down that tank as long as you know he will stay gone for a while. Not just heal up and come back or get another. That is what devalues the infantrys life and make him feel its unfair I think

    I don't know where you have been playing but those MAX crashes don't last long. 1v1 ZOE verse anyone else doesn't work. Twin miniguns make short work of anyone with ZOE up. There was no need for the nerfing. The fact that ZOE made a max easier to kill made MAX on MAX fights always end in the ZOE loosing.

    But there are more important things in game design then balance. Abilities like ZOE added interesting dynamics to the game. On one hand you have a guy running around who is doing extra damage. On the other hand he is glowing and can easily outrun any support. It makes for interesting play.

    Just out right nerfing something an ability like this removes some interesting aspects of play.

    Thanks for feedback on this. Yeah, if they hide them from "plane" sight (get it? haha I'm funny!!), then that works, but it will also reduce the available spawn locations and make it easier to develop a route to check every few hours.

    Still need lots of data, how often they spawn, randomly or in the same locations, etc.

    Bah. Fair enough, I suppose. I may be a bit bitter about the many times I watched a single harrasser roll into the Crown or Crossroads WT and tear up the place, run out, heal, and keep doing it over and over. It was so easy to farm they should have named it the Combine.

    Yes, defending a point and having one ZOE come in and wipe everyone out was always interesting. Each faction has its advantages, I do think the ZOE was not balanced. But if they did not nerf them, I would not have complained. We try to adjust tactics to deal with them.

    Lock on rocket launchers can't fire to distances that long now, that's a reward to tankers to do what a tank has to do: long range support, control of open areas and engaging enemy tanks and fortifications.
    Tankers that insert their tanks in the enemy spawn to camp it better, get a bit more punished, all good for me in this patch. Can't say the same about changes to the combined arms game in previous patches, but what to do.

    This is rich. Not because of the complete ignorance of the OP, but because on Connery ever since ZOE was introduced, the TR have been beaten into the ground by the VS population. Their population skyrocketed sometime in early July, and has been on a very slight decline since. I still sometimes see on average 40% Vanu, and less than 35% TR. The lowest TR pop i've seen since then was 19%.

    The only reason the OP think's TR is overpowered is because there were more of us, than him. There is power in numbers, the players of the TR truly understand this (for the most part, lol). Moar magazine size + Moar Dakka + More people fighting for the Dakka = Very powerful empire. Am i right, or am i right my red Brothers and Sisters? :D

    Exactly! balance is boring, there is a reason Arma is fun its because asymmetrical warfare makes fights take proper planning not twitch that people mistake for skill.

    Apologies but your talking out of your ***. take 2 stock maxes with chainguns give 1 Zoe and the other lockdown or charge your choice. If you lockdown he will spank your *** by circling you. If you dont lockdown he will spank you in the face whilst circling you and still most likely have half his health left. Not like we can fracture you now they got nerfed too :p

    Zoe kills TR max in 1v1 every time. If you have a char on Cobalt by all means shout and we can do a test. Be interesting to see what would happen now in a straight up stand there and both fire at each other.

    Its not that the max crushes last long as such ... its the fact that they were constant and overly effective.

    Because it was a nerf for the VS and everyone knows it, and not so much for the rest of the factions. And everyone knows that as well. At least, those who play all three factions.

    Thats a good example of what is known as good counter play. One sides advantage allows for new play styles to deal with it.
