My internet is a bit messed up so I can't play but I went into the game just to see if the vehicle camo issue has been fixed.

Well, the Vanguard's customization bits are still stock blue and the camo doesn't cover them.

Was this in the VR or outside of it? I can only test it in the VR and don't want to spend money to see if the problem is still prevalent everywhere.
  3. Ryanminaker

I hate liberators and one shot sniper kills.

Well I have played a short while in Amerish and my first impressions are: underwhelmed. What exactly was wrong with Amerish as it previously was? Why did they feel a need to change it and waste developer time which could be better spent? Meanwhile the ridiculous overpopulation problems and inter-empire imbalance continues... I'll play your game until Titanfall comes out then it's adios amigos. You refuse to do anything about population imbalance so your game continues to be seriously problematic regardless of continental revamps and whatever other cosmetic changes you make . In the meantime I'll be playing for free cause you aren't getting another penny from me, I stopped my premium membership because of the imbalances.

Goodbye... Farewell... Sorry if you cant have fun without ghost capping. I prefer a challenge to my fight and like to defend a base and move onto the next fight without having to worry some lone inf or LA is hiding some place ready to flip a shield gen or what not because no one is even fighting at that part of the map. Ghost Cappers are cowards in a game where death is meaningless. You have to stay with your forces now and move as a group instead of capping 3 bases ahead of the line. if you aren't a team player piss off and go play COD.

2 words sum up the issue Amerish had... Ghost Capping.
  7. Mr.Seacucumber

So if there is no lettuce system on Amerish and our fancy vechicles things are not fixed....what else has SOE failed to fix?
  8. SpyderSeven

Very cool patch, just downloading the hotfix. Just a few niggling things I've noticed like some grassy water but the new Amerish is neat.
  9. chapterhouse

    under ground needs level signs.
  10. sauna

Good job. But still crashing :/.

lattice reduces the game to little more than a lobby based FPS with imbalanced teams. ghost capping is a red herring. small scale fights and low intensity engagements at low population outposts where a great change of pace creating high suspense cat and mouse fights. if you do not have ths skill set for these hide and seek stealth fights, go find the zerg.

Bring back the phantasm and the router and release Hossin rather than simply remake old maps

    Translation - - -

Jump in with a herd of mindless zerg cattle. What he is trying to tell you is this game was designed for 25 tanks to park in a group and move their turrets no more then 5 degrees [boom boom boom], and after about 3 minutes collect 2-3 certs for the cap.. Drive about 400 meters to the next installation and do it all over again. Wow - AWESOME game play. This lattice thing is so great.

If you want an alternative to what is described above, you heard the man, don't play.

What it boils down to is this. The majority of players want the feeling of winning. And they somehow get that feeling even if they outnumber the enemy 20 - 1. Maybe a few tanks kill a couple of the few brave enemy players who try to sneak out of the spawn. But most don't get any kills because of the difference in numbers. But the important thing is that they get the feeling of winning. This is what the lattice "promotes". That is the issue.

I think zergs are the weakness in this game. Something that needs to be kept in check so as not to ruin the games potential. There is a time and a place for zergs but they should NOT be the norm and that is what the lattice promotes. But like the man said. If you don't like it - don't play. Give him his menu with one entree and everyone else screw off.

Look, big battles are great - but so are moderately sized battles. And so are evenly matched battles. The HUGE battles are NOT always better. Hell if there could be 10 thousand + players in a single battle at an installation, would that be a good thing? Maybe and maybe not. If the battle is large enough it just becomes chaos. If you are a cloaked infiltrator and can't sneak from point A to B because of random explosions going off from tanks and such, the battle is probably a bit too big for meaningful fun gameplay.

If you don't like it - don't play. LOL

I have no trouble finding large, medium, or small battles with lattice. If you can't find the battle size for you, look harder. There maybe 3-4 large battles at a time and many medium or small fights. So, size of battle isn't a valid argument.

If you want even medium size battles constantly, play Battlefield or Call of Duty. Those games are designed for that.

There is no winning in Planetside. If you want to win the "match", see above games.

The Zerg is the point of this game because it's about the only Planetside does that separates itself from the other FPS out there.

So, you are either playing the wrong game, don't know how to play, or just want to captures empty bases and hide from real battles.
  16. Bingabong

Yeah we get a fix for something not many people really gave a damn about. I mean, yes ultimately we could have done with a lattice system on Amerish. However they have done nothing about what are proving to be game killing problems: Overpopulation and inter empire imbalance, but particularly overpopulation. Not only have they done nothing, but they don;t even appear to be willing to address the problem. This game won't be getting any better on this issue anytime soon.
  17. Deathsereph

The lattice system was a terrible idea to begin with. I know there are a lot of people that play this game that don't care about strategy and don't want to think, but for those of us that do, having a lattice free system was really nice.

    then start playing CoD
  20. indianahoops

Please tell me about this "strategy" that is so complex within the HEX system?

Look, I get it. You and your 5 buddies want to capture bases by yourself. And with lattice, you don't know how to get what you want and deal with the Zerg.

What you don't understand is how 5 well coordinated people can wreck a Zerg.

Can they capture a base by themselves? No

Can they impact a battle and help their side win? Yes
