My God, you're right! No fix to the tank mines not detonating each other, or not detonating properly with vehicle proximity! Let's cry together, friend...:(

What players are arguing on here is that ESF's are swiss knives and with this patch, they are mcguyver utility tool. When you go ground, you have to decide: should I go AP or HE or Skyguard? Once you spawn the tank, that's a done deal. You live it with the choices but for ESF's, they can hop on with any loadout right now and dominate.

Rock Paper Scissors mentality comes to play and right now ESF's messes this rock paper scissors play.

At no point did anyone think that purposefully making your game clunkier and less responsive was a bad idea to solve a non-existent problem?

I'd like to fight the VS and TR, not the UI...

i really really hope you've finally fixed the fps slowdowns whenever looking at smoke/explosion/particle-heavy scenery, a problem that was introduced with PU02. that's actually the number one thing i want you to fix (apart from bugs, random disconnects, crashes, etc)

Tomcats kill dog fights the way they are, this change is good IMO. Ground based missiles are fired from a stationary location, so the ESF can just fly away or avoid areas with heavy AA entirely. An ESF with Tomcats can just chase you down and keep clicking his win button. At least now it's actually possible to dodge Tomcat missiles.

Adding xp for scout radar detection, does that count for Flashes too?
If so, I'll be sitting under biolabs while I rack up infantry resources :)

Also, to those of you not sure what the point in Coyote/Hornet missiles are. I think they are meant to be a "jack of all trades" missile. Meaning you can use them or A2A as well as A2G but they don't specialise in either.

450m is nothing when flying, really. It's usually the range at which people start lolpodding as well. It is way within Flak range (and you'll need to stay relatively still to guide them), hell it is even within lock-on range for the G2A locks.
Nothing to worry about in my opinion. These weapons have a worse realistic damage output (taking accuracy into account) than pods at any range.

Again, max range for Hornets is 450m. A squad of experienced ESFs can do the same with lolpods, if not better... remember that you only need to hit 50% of the pods at 450m to achieve the same damage output as Hornets; that should easily be doable. And to "instagib" a tank you'll need 5 ESFs (if the tank is not running godmode or armor or anything like that), whereas with pods you need two. Or, if you bring 5 ESFs with pods, each can miss more than half of his magazine to still instagib a tank.

Really, i don't see the point to equip them as a pilot, and i don't feel like they'll seriously threaten me as a tanker.

Nice! In the near future please consider expanding this to G2A lock-ons too :) They are too easy to use and way too commonplace! That would make flying a LOT more interesting. Thanks!

So air can't just fly away in any direction with minimal fear of hitting a rock, base wall or friendly vehicle? Air can't go behind a huge rock / mountain and repair? Air can't just dive into the natural undulations in the ground and repair?

On a tank you get behind a repair sundy and get bombed to high heaven from the liberators, camera guided rockets, lockons, dumbfires etc. It is no different at all.

I am going to try my best to be constructive here. Can you please provide a little more than 6 hours notice before updates so that people like myself with limited time to play don't set their alarm for 5:30 am in hopes of getting some game time? It is really frustrating to sit here at 6 in the morning knowing that I don't have to be to work for another 2 hours and have nothing to do but sit on the test server. This makes me sad :(

An ESF can touch down behind a mountain or something, but the G2A lock ons will follow you there. You could fly to the next continent and the lock ons will still follow you.

So... the scout radar currently functions only for the occupants of the vehicle. 1 pilot for ESF, 1 driver/1 passenger for flash.
Nobody else receives benefit of the radar currently other than these people in the vehicle.

How is this detect experience thing supposed to work precisely?

Is everybody in the area supposed to be seeing the people on the minimap as long as a pilot is in the vehicle which has scout radar? I mean, it gets kinda silly having to call out targets to people over voice coms honestly.

Will drivers be receiving detect exp for their own detections or something?
You can see why I'm a bit confused at this, yes?

i think this is the first time $oE have thrown out a hard nerf and sold a replacement in the very same patch before,
usually they try to play it cool and nerf something through the ground and sell you a replacement in the next patch.
regardless, still won't spend a single penny until the anniversary trouble is resolved.
