Seriously? NO DAMAGE BUG. Fix it.

    still happening as of today. Spent 6 complete heat cycles of AA against SKIN galaxy on Connery and he was taking zero damage. Would get the animations of my bombs hitting, would get the hit markers but no damage would go down. Other person sitting right next to me wasn't able to hit him either, but a 3rd party was.

    he was floating in the air so I know he wasn't getting repped unless there is a repping exploit I don't know about when flying.

    not sure whats going on.

    Having the same problem. Can play for 20-30 minutes and then my shots stop registering and people and vehicles start warping all over the place. I also apparently can't be hit unless I stand still for several seconds. Restarting the game gives me another 20-30 minutes before it happens again.

    Tried the suggestions in the troubleshooting thread to no avail. Played from beta up until around GU02 and never experienced this sort of desynch which makes me believe it is an introduced issue and not a problem with my system as is being claimed.

    I've had this bug since Feb, comes and goes, but has been back for good the last couple weeks. I've put tickets in, i've talked to TSR's, no closer to a fix, since GU2. Everyday I see another of these threads come up, see more people quit the game, but its my impression that SOE thinks this isn't a big problem and isn't going to fix it.

    This has been an off and on problem for months now. Not even a peep on any potential fixes.

    Its nothing we can fix locally. Yes it may help hit registration to a degree these fixes although, the actual problem still persists. I've tried everything that someone savvy could possibly do besides move next door to the server closest to me. So yeah this needs fixing badly. I hadn't ever noticed it till the last 2 massive updates.

    Yip, still a problem and as random as ever. Had over 50mins without a problem earlier this week, following a format so I thought that had fixed it, now doing it after less than 5 mins :(

    I haven't played in like 2 months because of it. Had heard rumors it had gotten better. Logged in today, got to a fight and as soon as I died the first time I got the no damage bug. 7 whole minutes of game time. I've tried most of the "fixes" posted in that other thread and nothing works. I don't OC anyway. I'm just going to uninstall this steaming pile of a game and wash my hands of it. I'm sorry I ever spent a dime on it.

    I should go back through the forums and PM everyone who said I just "had bad aim" and demand an apology from them.

    This is obviously a real thing and it's not just limited by O.S. or Chip-maker. Intel users are being affected by it just as much as us AMD users. I found that overclocking my Deneb with a higher wattage actually FIXED more of the issues than just leaving it at Stock-Clock BIOS speed. ....You know a game's coding is trash when it somehow conflicts up BIOS defaults, lol.

    This was what it looks like (and feels like) when playing Stock, by the way:




    It's gotten so bad that even I'm getting the same god-mode spurts myself... walking through mines and taking zero damage. Other players shooting me, and HITTING ME and I'm getting hints or sounds that they're hitting me or I atleast see their bullets path directly through me, yet I'm taking no damage. It's stupid beyond belief and I'm worried that I'm getting reported for it too.

    The other night, I watched 3 Bursters in our platoon all shooting the same Scythe, the Flak was exploding directly ON HIM. We all saw it exploding all over the Scythe's model. It wasn't passing through it, it was exploding on it like all Flak shots that are on-target tend to do. Yet only our small-arms and lock-ons seemed to deal damage to it. One particular VS Outfit we know of, has actually found a way to exploit this glitch on-demmand and even take reduced damage from direct hit Lockons (I can't say I blame them though, what with the Striker bugs/exploits and all)

    At that point it's not even "server side damage", it's some kind of bizzarro Inception game fueled by Hamlet on a 1/4 ounce of THC

    Yet they'll create new game additions, while the game's functionality is still broken, all without batting an eye. No one cares about the next new gun or helmet right now. Fix. Your. Game.

    AGREE the ghost hit markers and the NO damage and NO hit registration is a Game breaking issue and it happen way to much ...

    As well as servers broke where your medic kit wont work as well as medic tool and repair tool become unresponsive and so on

    I wouldn't be surprised if it was the helmets and other gear that was causing the bad hit reg. Works perfectly fine in Training area where they do not have things like that fitted.

    Can't hit a bloody thing at the moment, I give up. I'm going to play another game, I can't be faffed with this.

    I've wrote several tickets to tech support about this problem, they actualy joking about it, they just ignore it and send to the thread above... How they cannot understand that relogin = lost transport, warping to GW and a player must go again and again to the place of battle. Gameplay is BROKEN!! THIS BUG MUST BE FIXED WITH HIGHEST PRIORITY.

    Finally found a fix for it.

    If you haven't, try downloading WinTimerTester: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xzo9n84d8lze9nb/WinTimerTester_1.1.zip

    Launch it and click "start" then wait until the ratio reaches a solid 1.0 for about a minute. This should take 2-3 min, not including the minute you should wait afterward. Leave it running and launch PS2. Don't close it until you are done playing. If you start to de-sync, alt-tab to WTT and see if the ratio has changed. If it has, close PS2 and let it get back to 1.0,

    Try this in AMD CCC or whatever you have...

    Vsync: always on
    OpenGL triple buffering: on
    Anisotropic filtering level: 16x
    Texture filtering quality: high quality
    Surface format optimization: off

    Keep Vsync off inside the game since it's already on.
