I have to agree. If you're with a decent squad/platoon, you have a million different options for movement around the battlefield and very little reason to be in a vehicle. Hopefully the resource harvesting system will change that, but as of now I'm spending almost all of my time in infantry combat.

It may not be an easy decision to make, but I believe fewer and less convenient spawn options will be good for the ground game.

You mean transport vehicles? I don't get it, Gals are still effective, tanks are effective, sundies are still deployable, the only ones that suck are the harasser and flash.

And another dissconnect... its now unplayable...

    1. Thank you for fixing the timer! Most times i would kill myself because it was faster.

    2. Any way to get rid of the pop up ad? If you hit yes or no it still pops up moments later. If you leave it alone it flashes in the corner of the screen as if you have a friend request.

    3. CTD five times in an hour after this patch. I'm not sure what im doing wrong. I no longer play the game on anything but low settings. I'm sure its not the game as almost EVERY one here will point out. It must be my sys.

    4. Missions, great idea, now how can I turn off the sound?

I have played EVE online since beta and still pay yearly (about ten years so far) . With PS1 I stood in line outside of EB just to get it and paid monthly up until almost no one played the game. Same with PS2 beta, I paid for the first year until the max nerf.

I along with most, I assume, have no problem paying for a game that reflects what we pay for. That said, as I'm sure most of you know, going free-to-play means you (PS2) have put yourself in the same market as tons of other games. Whereas before there were only a hand full of really good monthly paid games to compare yourself too. I say this because it seems like the need for cash is forcing you to following the same road as PS1 with the in game ad's. Please don't. Understand I, along with many others, do not have an investment in your game any longer, so giving you up for months at a time is easy. When I paid for PS1 even when something’s bothers me I still went back because I had invested so much money.

Once PS2 was that restaurant with perfect service. They sold the same food, had the same prices, basically the same atmosphere, but with one major difference, the staff always made sure you got what you wanted, or more importantly what was paid for. I would drive out of my way, spend time waiting in line, and even pay more to get a seat at that restaurant. Now, with free to play, its like Burger king. I go to the game that’s most convenient or has what I want for that moment.

Lastly, in a class of 500 people, if only one guy raises his hand to ask a question then it means there are at least ten other questions’ that go unanswered. I say this because the people on the forums who are way to over spoken or the guy on the test sever giving the most input does not represent the majority. So, adding or fixing things based on what they say does not help you make the game better. This is why with every fix and update you see "that guy" post right away that everything is great. But this also explains why there are ten times the amount of people complaining about the game.

Just a bit of advice from the guy who knows raising his hand will only make the situation worse than it already is.

Straight pull bolts are nice and all, but could we get something along the lines of a bipod or a stabilizer of some kind to sniper rifles? Very long range sniping, especially against moving targets is very painful to manage when your "hold breath" timer is so short, this is a problem compounded with the Railjack sniper weapon and it's 1-sec firing delay.

Welp in my first 5 minutes I lag spiked my scythe into the side of a biolab, respawned and was disconnected. Ohh update day why do I play thee?

Sounds like an awful idea. We actually like company reps to have some personality, this is a game after all. It's about fun. Go be boring somewhere else.

How about we just set you up with an aimbot stabilized hunter cloaked OHK turret that you can plop down on a hilltop, then hide in cover 100 meters away and use with a little remote control unit.

It'll have a 20x scope with rock solid camera view and sweet target highlighting like the old IR/NV effective out to 1,000 meters. And it can have automatic lead compensation for moving targets + rangefinding and auto bullet drop calculation, so you just point it at who you want to shoot and it does all the work of leading and holding over for you. Also it'll have unlimited ammo like the engineer turrets and a 100 cert unlock that will let it shoot through spawn room shields.

    Would that help?

Ok, whose bright idea it was with all those ads?
I've been thinking about getting that subscription, as soon as I get my financial "nanites" in order, which would be the next month, but now I'm considering leaving the game altogether.
Spitting in the face of your potential customers was never a good way to attract business.
Frankly I can't see one single free player going premium as a consequence of seeing that splash screen or accidentally pressing that yellow button cunningly placed right by "ressuply now" one... But I can see them stop playing out of annoyance. That's just bad marketing psychology. lol.
I've been reccomending this game to my currently better off friends left and right, especially praising the non-intrusive, almost gentlemanely way PS2 goes about with its F2P model. For the majority of folks, it is not about the money, it is not about the measly 15 dollars or so per month - it is about attitude, about relationship with the customer. If you keep badgering me and what's worse, premium folks with all those ads, they'll simply leave.
The second very important consideration is that this is a PvP game and thus the experience of customers (especially paying ones) is directly dependent on the number of players. All those "freeloaders" are actually creating content for paying customers and rather than "taking something for nothing" are actually taking nothing from it, are costing you nothing and are actually adding value to the game.
You are risking a lot with this aggressive ads policy. I've seen it played out before, many times. I predict you won't get much if any new memberships and are going to loose a number of free players... which will further degrade paying customer experience leading to cancellations, which will cause you to go even more agressive with ads and so on as a beginning of a vicious cycle... a vicious cycle I've seen eat up many a good game.

    And finally,
what's with the ridiculous censoring thing? "Lol" is censored?? That some kind of an april joke?

Yeah... just made a forum account cause this update ruined my soul.
Honestly, the update made the mouse lag more apparent and the stutters you guys described are both happening to me for the first time. What is going on here? Hopefully you guys can actually bring up a hotfix REAL quick.
  13. iFlanker

I keep disconnected all the time every time... This wasn´t mentioned in the patch features.

SOE you need to get rid of the ADs! This is pissing off a lot of players, myself included.

    it's to prevent epilepsy.

However, it leads to peptic ulcer, but, hey, they can't solve everything.
  16. FourTwoFour

Sony, you've no idea how many people are actually making fun of you right now. People who have spend $200-300+ on this game (also Membership players). You're just doing it wrong. You won't see a single penny from me (already at $200 or so).

Have fun with your ads. Keep it up.

There is much less of a reason to use vehicles when infantry units don't need to cross over land to get to their destination. The Sunderer is clearly still important but everything else is diminished because players have so many options to reach a location without traveling over land.
  18. Doc Jim

Umm guys, the disconnection issue... it's bad, really bad.

  19. Hellingen

-That's what I did. I disconnected so quickly I did'nt saw the Advertisement pop ups... SERIOUSLY?!
And those bug yellow buttons, I probably could ignore ads and stuff like this, but that is invasive.
    That's an awfull marketing strategy...

-The mission system is completely USELESS, everything was working well without it.
And it isn't even possible to hide it. The symbol showing in the HUD is the most annoying part. We need CLEAR vision, no damn text and symbols everywhere...

-The lower respawn time : I didn't play enough to see the balance (guess why). First I think it is nice for the rythm of the battle, on an onther hand defenders maybe able to keep their positions way too easily, especially in huge fight...

    Conclusion :

What are you doing seriously?! There is tons of things to fix and correct like many said before me. Tons of better things to implement and it looks like you are working on the bad ideas only.

    You are losing, FIX THIS.

I'm sure the Ads are bad. I, however, wouldn't know because I can't stay on long enough to see them before getting disconnected. Again, and again, and again. SOE, just roll this patch back.
