Saturday night, and Emerald TR is......wait...they're doing well?!?!?!

    So I logged off earlier to spend some time with my son, was fairly early on during a primetime sat night Indar alert. I log back in, and lo and behold, TR won the blasted alert????? So I go wandering off to Amerish, which has all 3 factions pretty balanced, and seems the most active. TR is pushing the crap out of the VS. They're taking the SW tech plant, Heyoka I think it's called. They're defending the point, fighting smart, holding the line. They win. Then it's off on a race of victories. Bases falling left and right. TR is playing like I haven't seen since TE was around.

    Holy crap, have we finally figured it out? Has TR's long dry spell finally come to an end. Is it possible......just possible that maybe there is hope? Then I notice all the FRZA outfit tags. Nope. It's just GOKU playing on their TR alts.

    But to be honest, I still hope. Maybe, just maybe, some TR learn from this. Maybe if outfits like GOKU run some more TR ops, TR can start coordinating better and become a real full time challenge for the VS. Who knows.

    The first hint of GOKU madness I saw was the chatbox filling up with "PRAISE MALORN!"

    But we were doing pretty well before I logged off due to some foul hitchery, hopefully we can keep this streak going.

    Ya, it's largely GOKU helping us out, having an outfit that constantly just redeploys a platoon around the map to defend where needed (and actually has useful players) makes a big difference.

    It feels nice to win it but is muddied by the fact that the only reason we won was because someone else came along and abused the redeploy system.

    That system needs to be nuked from orbit asap. It is killing the game.

    Now if only they could do the same thing for NC, and show us the light...


    I tried debating in yell chat why the NC always gets pushed over, once. None was willing to accept that it was because we just don't go hard enough.

    if you change the redeploy system you have to make the capture much longer. Atm we have bases that will switch in 5 min (PS 1 bases took 15min...only to notice that). You dont have an eye on the map everytime...lets say you notice an attack on a base on the opposite site of the continent 30 sec after the hack starts...1 min till you got all your ppl back into a gal...maybe and another min till you are close and you can make yourself a picture and plan your counter-attack...leaves you arround 2 min to break their hack defense aka 1 failed try and it is over.

    Fast redeploy is atm (with the current timers) the only way to counter what KOT v is doing on Miller atm...they galaxy zerg attack every base possible (and if anyone comes up with "this is teamwork!" ...no, it is not...they only put enough noobs in galaxys to throw them over a base till they have 60% or more pop in that area...if it would be teamwork they could win engagements with 50%+ or less...but they never do...if the defender reaches 45% pop or more they lose).
    We had the best example on Miller few days ago...VS was trying to zerg-attack again but this time TR were smarter and redeployed with the first sign of their attack till we had the equal forces or were close to their numbers...they couldnt win anything...no...it came even worse for them...in the time they tried to zerg one base (and failed misserably) we took one of theirs in return with the ppl that didnt redeploy (and it was 34% VS, 33 TR and 32% NC, and NO...NC didnt help us...they were avoiding a fight with VS the whole time ...only 1 base between VS and NC were they fought each other and friend on NC who was there over 2 hours told me that this was a 100 vs 100 fight.)

    So if you make redeploy impossible without the changing the timers you give zergplay (and zerg-outfits) the i-win button.

    TR won the Hossin alert on Emerald last night too. I was playing VS but that was about the most fun I've ever had on an alert. You guys won with 35% (VS at 34%) from a base capture in the last 30 secs. It seemed there was very good teamwork keeping those sundys alive. Definitely PS2 at its finest.

    Id say one of the biggest problems with TR is how many people AFK in the warpgate just putting something on their W key and running into walls, during the alert yesterday i checked the map and saw 24-48 at our warpgate and 1-12 at NC and VS

    Holy **** imagine that! All it took was an organized outfit. All it took was for GOKU to not redeploy their VS mains all over the map to swamp all resistance with numbers and smack, and for their TR toons to do the same when there is no VS GOKU to do the same to them. It don't change anything, it simply demonstrates that this can happen to anyone that has a massive, obnoxious zerg-fit.

    Good job TR, please cry more about **** being OP now, or maybe the Vanu should instead. Nothing has changed. PPA is still extremely popular, Striker is still bad, GOKU is still around. Wearing red for one session don't change anything.

    That's what happens when you don't pull all your members in a ****e tier 7k auti zergfit that's comatose levels of effective. We are still talking about GOKU doing their thing. The fact that TE used to do the same for TR over a year ago don't change anything, it simply demonstrates that when a massive force keeps moving about the map like GOKU does and TE used to things happen. Especially when the resistance their face is outnumbered and out-played.

    Again, this does not change a thing. VS is still not fun to fight, GOKU is still zergy, the average TR still don't seem to care much :/

    I will give them kuddos though for letting the rest of the VS know what it's like to be smacked like this when you can't do anything about it. Was it fun? Was it something that makes you want to do this again and fight these guys again? No?

    Then please consider, canning the smack from now on. Obnoxious behavior don't endear much good will in your opponents to fight with you.

    Oh good, so even when you win you still whine about the VS? On one hand you think GOKU sucks, but you also want TR to have outfits just like them? Oh, and even more whining about the PPA... Like NXR1 pointed out, TR needs to sort out their own issues instead of being such a bunch of cry babies.

    TBH as obnoxious as they can be they have redoployside down to a "T".

    There are some other folks I see making great use of the games mechanics......I just wish they made transportation more relevant instead of just spawn beacons with huge HP.

    The redeployside mechanic is stale and boring. Hell, even as a lone wolf I can bounce from base to base that needs more people.
    The funny thing is that organized outfits would benefit more from nerfing deployside, more then the common man....so I'm not certain why no one gripes about it.

    I sort of agree with this statement. But to me, it shows that TR are not prepared to fight sweaty and scrubby. It may be part of the game, but everyone knows what a crap mechanic redeployside is. Its a shame the devs don't have the foresight to tackle this.

    TR are good fighters, but poor tacticians where the tactic of this game is mass redeploy. 1 TR player typically kills about 3 VS before he is swamped by the GOKU/DA/AC/V/SSGO reinforcements. Its not our fault, we just want to have fun and shoot people. But VS took the sweaty nerd route. However, each fight makes a TR stronger.

    Eventually, TR will become so good at just fighting, that the GOKU redeploy-game will begin to fail.

    I was on my NC alt at the time. The NC at my fight were actually conspiring against VS in favor of TR. "Let TR cap this base so VS loses the alert!" "Yeah, **** VS."

    I think that explains where TR's pop went.
