Retooling vehicle optics

The current state of nvg's as an optic choice are incredibly sad. They don't help pick out targets at night and tend to wash them out in a sea of green.

I'm not recommending we bring back the outline feature for nvg from early beta for infantry. Nvg need a graphic pass to allow them to have a purpose and add the outlining feature to vehicles only out to medium range?

For those unaware of how beta nvg worked, it made targets solid bright green out to certain (then long) range
Anything within around 30m got a solid white outline to them. This outlining effect would see the shape of cloaked infiltrators but they wouldn't be solid green.

Thermals would still be the better option for
..whatever it is thermals do these days..maybe they need to be reworked also.

As long as; Esc>Settings>Graphics>Brightness 1.0; makes it so that night time is non existant NVG will never be a viable choice.

What should be done is vehicle optics having 2 "slots" that can be upgraded. One for the desired amount of magnification and another for effects (night vision, thermal/ threat detection, etc). Add a key for cycling through optics - ex. zoom, effect without zoom, zoom plus effect - and done. Heck if Daybreak really wanted to get creative they could take the concept and apply it to infantry scopes as well. Bet they could rake in a bit of profit by doing that.
