Im currently running with NMG and I think its very good, but Im thinking of swotching to Resist because of one NMG weakness - after each fighting, I have to wait a lot of time or run without shield just like I was playing any other class. Can you post advantages and disadvantages of Resist Shield? Ive heard it doesnt stack with NNW, does the NMG stack with it? And whats the secret of HA BR100s surviving like 20 hits?
Neither the adrenaline shield is the best option. After each kill you regen your shield. It is pricy but it was the best certs i have ever spent fyi it functions like the nmg
It's really only better if you go on semi-consistant killing sprees. Resist shield is good if you pair it with ASC, and focus on hit and run.
RS can stand more headshot since its effective health is 1818 But NMG or AS with/without only has 1600 for headshots RS has no shield leaks while NMG does But RS is weak when get jumped so be sure to turn on RS before expected engagement RS also has short downtime which takes only 17sec for full recharge but RS cannot mitigate knife damage though BASR is mitigated Pretty good shield with certain style Recently I prefer RS to AS Lastly, The secrets of tanking 20 bullets that HA BR100s do are either medkit spam or stupid hit reg issue * much written on mobile, such abbreviation
With maxed Adrenaline shield & Nanoweave I feel very tanky. Resist shield & ASC, I feel like I never have enough medikits.. Those guy that take 20 bullets to kill, you would be amazed at the stuff I dodge with just movement. Stuff like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO24DShBVgw#t=163 www.youtube.com/watch?v=rO24DShBVgw#t=375 www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lvNZQUFZbI#t=193
No, I was once was shooting to some guy with 2 teammates shooting to him too. After 30 shots I stopped shooting because I was 100% sure he has died, 30 is always enough and this time there was 3 of us shooting. But.. he didnt die, and he died when I shot like 45 bullets. At least 15 were hits and it looked like 2 other guys were hitting too... And I dont think he had medkit. If only I could record 24/7.. but my fps drops down to 10 when recording. Im not talking about Adrenaline Shield, I cant do consistant killstreaks (and it needs 3 kills to fully charge, right? With my KPM, I would have shield only once per 3 minutes...).
Ah, those guys.. the lag wizards.. yeah, I find them now again also... Far as adrenaline shield goes, It takes 5 kills to fill it from empty at max rank, as each kill adds 20% shields. But it recharges on its own just like NMG, so its not like it doesn't charge if your not killing people. NMG and Adrenaline offer the same 607 damage blocking, only difference is how they recharge. NMG you pay certs to have it just fill in faster over time. Adrenaline it fills in at the same rate as NMG 1, but kills fill % of the shield. Basically Adrenaline shield will help you win 2v1 fights, as when you kill 1 you get a bump to your overshield. While NMG is better if you 1v1 then wait for it to come back. Adrenaline shield is not worth the certs unless you are willing to dump the 2250 certs into maxing it, just stick with NMG.
Simply put NMG can recharge from 0% to 100% in 45 sec at Max Level, it takes 60 secs at default level 1. Adrenaline Shield you will have to wait for 60 sec for it to recharge, when with maxed NMG it would've taken only 45 sec. But each kill you make with adrenaline shield will fill in a % of the shield. Also Adrenaline Shield takes 2250 Certs to Max Lv and NMG only 831 certpoints. Adrenaline Shield cert tree: Lvl 1 150certpoints - Killing an enemy will recharge the Adrenaline Shield capacitor by 4.5%. Lvl 2 200certpoints - Killing an enemy will recharge the Adrenaline Shield capacitor by 6%. Lvl 3 400 certpoints - Killing an enemy will recharge the Adrenaline Shield capacitor by 10%. Lvl 4 500certpoints - Killing an enemy will recharge the Adrenaline Shield capacitor by 15%. Lvl 5 1000 certpoints - Killing an enemy will recharge the Adrenaline Shield capacitor by 20%. http://planetside.wikia.com/wiki/Adrenaline_Shield When I heavy, I shoot dude, he reacts and fires on me, I take damage my shield fail, I press F to turn on shield. I continue to shoot dude, take damage from him, my overshield fails, I kill him, my shield is at 20% full, and recharges in 48 secs. So even in the 1v1 senario, Maxed Adrenaline shield is only 3 secs slower than maxed NMG. And if you are are in a situation when you can kill another in the next 48 secs, then you are better off than NMG.
Exactly. At max its 20%. It may not sound like much bit when fighting more than one target being able to restore your Shield instantly has rlly uped my killstreaks. The reason why i prefer it over the resist shield is the fact that im not using my health as a shield resource. With AS i have the ability to reflexivly throw on the shield in a pinch or use it tactically for breaching a room or hardened possition with the ability to instantly restore its charge when i pick up kills.
Adren will recharge even if you don't kill people. However if I remember right it takes as long as rank 1 NMG.
The only time I run resit shield is on my AV loadout with flak armor. So when I know I will be taking more explosive damage than small arms fire. As flak + resit is more eHP against explosives than NMG/Adrenaline + nanoweave. Resit is fine to run for AI work if you have medic support, as you have someone to top off that 10-20% damage you took to your HP. If you don't, your HP bar gets damaged in a fight, and you use too many medikits. Only way to avoid this is to hit and run playstyle, get the drop on them so they don't have time to do enough damage to hit your HP. Or run regen implant and have 12+ secs of downtime waiting for it to start filling in your HP.. Yes, that is correct, it takes 60 secs to fill from empty, the same as level 1 NMG. Max NMG fills in 45secs. Max adrenaline shield restores 20% per kill. 20% of 60sec = 12 secs. So if you kill just 1 guy when running maxed adrenaline shield, it takes 60-12=48secs to fill. Just 3 secs more than maxed NMG takes. If you didn't kill 1 guy while your shield was up, chances are you're dead, and the 3 secs wouldn't matter anyways...
No, RS does not give you flat 450 It gives you resistance so this is how full hp is calculated 1000 / 1 - 0.45 = 1818.18 Likewise NMG with NWA is 1600 / 1 - 0.2 = 2000
Pro tip 1 Your AS gets recharge even with killing deployment such as beacon, engy turrets etc Unmanned vehicle also gives you single charge But if there is a passenger, you get double charges
If you're talking only about Resist and NMG my personal preference would be Resist shield coupled with ASC, due to the extremely low downtime. I've never certed into the Adrenaline shield so I cant comment on that. At this point I'm too tired to play HA anymore and don't want to cert into adrenaline.
Help me to understand you logic in this please. Do you turn on your shield before engaging targets? Is the NWA only there for if they get the jump on you? I always take HP damage in fights when running resit, I can't drop them before they damage me.. Do you eat a lot of medikits? Do you not take HP damage?
My logic? Well, I do use my shield. I get that Resist+NWA doesnt stack for 60%. But my logic is I get moderate resistance when my shield is off, and I get my shield resistance when the shield is on. NWA is for when I dont really need my shield but take some fire, it will help to soften the blows a bit(running away, long range fighting). Plus, its not like running ASC the target is goingto give me the 6s or w/e to regen my shield. Where as NWA is always active and always helping. Then, when I use my Resist shield I get it's full protection..... So far in my rerolled 18 Battle ranks, something seems to be working fairly well, besides my mouse.....thing is a pos but yeah. Then NMG, I just dont like much, it eats itself and takes a minute to regen.....its just not that great imo....Adren is way to xpensive just to be a midly faster recharging NMG...
