Remove hills that are taller than the base walls ffs.

Haha yes. As ive stated in other posts, there are some players and forumsiders that are not smart. We'll just have to suggest to them different tactics and playstyles and ask them to try it out. And yes people DO consider something that is a straightforward purchase or tactic as OP. Even other games have this problem. Kinda tells you how the gaming community is. :p

Well to summarize it. There's a major problem in base design and defending a facility. Attackers usually have the advantage but it shouldn't happen all the time in ALL bases. We really need new base design. I think they should consider redesign of basses to better suit attacking and defending as part of the roadmap.

So Esamir either has too many walls, or walls that are not large enough. Hmm.

If you allow an enemy armour column to roll up to a facility and expect to defend it with infantry, that's not going to happen, wherever the walls are.

Some walled facilities should be on top of hills, but as already said it's been mentioned that Auraxian facilities aren't military fortresses. Tower facilities are quite defensible against an even force.

Agreed. So they shouldn't complain that there is armour pinning them at tge spawn and get the **** out of the facilty and grab a tank at the closest location and take out the armour. Theb you'll have the higher ground which can be used to secure the point if it overlooks it that is

that's the most classic false dichotomy if i ever saw one - how about the novel idea of walls that are just right and useful? Crazy i know.
Old walls allow everybody and their dog to shoot inside bases from the hills, new walls make you feel like looking in the sky through a chimney - there are no tanks but a ****ton of LAs and lots of air you can't even see without stepping out to eat a libfarmator bomb. And getting to the other side of the wall is a death sentence.

Maybe just maybe we could get bases redone according to the ideas used in the Stronghold? You know, few meters tall platform the base is built upon, with enemy tanks being well below its level and with the perimeter wall easily accessible to defenders, with a ton of waist high cover?

Pray tell, how do you not allow the enemy collumn to roll up to a facility? It's not like it's not a 15 second drive from the facility you just lost. You pull an even bigger column out of your *** at a moment's notice?

Too bad there are no civilians anywhere to be seen and it's an eternal war. Why would you never make an effort to reinforce the **** out of the facilities if they are only used to wage war and abandon the ones that are utterly useless for that purpose? In medieval times you had castles and strongholds in elevated locations but nobody ever bothered defending the ****tiest of villages you could simply waltz in and take over.

And the towers might be quite defensible if all you have to care is [A] inside you hold with the MAX spam but things go south if they also have [B] and [C], not to mention they have usually the top floors easily spammed by tanks which you can't clear out without getting gibbed because tower shields. Xroads 90+ deg arc of high ground, Feldspar Canyon 360, Sarro Listening Post 180.

Make the hills really steep. Add dome shields everywhere.
