I personally would hold on certing/buying the NS-11C even if I liked it. Given that the foregrip visual is so hilariously and totally bugged it might be that this weapon (or at least this version of the NS-11C) wasn't ready for release. This might mean that it has major balance changes still to go before they "finish" it. The foregrip's appearance might also just be one of the wonderful gifts the QA department bestows on this game every patch, but I would hold off on getting with either certs or SC until someone at SOE says it is a finished gun with bugged visuals or until its visual shoddiness is fixed to the standard of something you'd expect to be released. If you purchase the NS-11C now and cry if it gets changed latter, expect little sympathy.
It's hilariously sad how little effort goes into things with this game when you consider how big SOE is. I've seen modelers/animation makers/texture artists that do their work as a simple hobby make better assets than SOE does. Faster too.
It's just visuals, guys. All that matters is how it handles and whether you like it or not. It has hardly any recoil anyway, you are just wasting certs putting a foregrip on it. Laser sight + silencer / compensator + Soft Point / High Velocity Ammo and scope of choice is all you need for it.
I am refraining from getting ANY bright, new, shiny things from now on in this game. We have seen what happens to all bright, new, shiny things in this game. They start out ok, or even OP, and then after a week or so, they're "adjusted" to be in line with where they should be. At that point, bright, new and shiny suddenly becomes dull, old and busted, destined for that back corner on the top shelf of the hall closet, never to be seen again until the next time you move.
It just shows poor quality and a lack of attention to detail are the order of the day. I just wonder, how do you miss something like that? The only thing I can think of is that they just didn't test it at all.
I has a new carbine? (grabs image from another thread) It almost looks like an M4. What's it going for price in the depot?
The forward grip and the stock being folded are the only things visually wrong with the gun. Right now when you ADS with the gun, it twitchs to the left for about a split second.. not a real problem.. doesn't really effect the performance any. Given it's long range accuracy.. that stock should be folded out.. when you buy it it is :/ but when you equip it it isn't. -When I tested it I found this with the softpoint ammo.. sometime it wasn't consistent with the number of bullets so test it for yourself but for the most part it was pretty consistent. W/ Softpoint ammo 10 bullets @ 85m 9 @ 50m 8 @ 40m 8 @ 30m 7 @ 20m 7 @ 10m 7 @ Pointblank. W/o Softpoint ammo 9 @ 90m 9 @ 70m 9 @ 50m 8 @ 40m 8 @ 30m 8 @ 20m 7 @ 10m 7 @ Pointblank. The only difference softpoint made was slow bullet travel and 1 less bullet at 20m. If you're VS, this is pretty much the only carbine where a 3.4x or 4x scope is actually useful, give you have a compensator and/or forward grip.
I went ahead and bought it after testing in VR, it is very accurate with a 3.4 or 4x definatly worth it in my opinion.
