Recoil drift increase on .75 ADS speed guns is a bad change

    That was harsh.

Anyway, I really doubt he's advocating staying still for more than a few seconds. Using the Gauss SAW reminds me of Counterstrike and the old Day of Defeat games. You move, pause and fire off a quick burst, move again. It's not staying still, it's firing and displacing. It's the same if you play a run-and-gun sniper--you move, pause and shoot, move again. Competitive Counterstrike and competitive Quake played very differently and you know it.

Yeah, you're a little more vulnerable for a split second, but if you're aware and positioned well it shouldn't make a difference. The increase in accuracy pays dividends. Come on, that's the whole reason the AWP and Scout and even Desert Eagle were overpowered (sorta, since it worked on a money system) in Counterstrike--you could move-shoot-move and do the most damage with the least amount of time standing still. But good players were still surgeons with the M-4 and AK using the exact same principle.

Seriously, it sounds like you're saying that people should only ever hipfire at full speed at any range. That can't be what you meant to say, I think you just wanted to flame that guy.

The gauss saw is no replacement for the AK though.

at least untill that nanoweave nerf goes in and headshots do way more damage. edit: (consistently)

I have 2000 kills with the saw.

You can't move-stop-fire fast in this game. There is a delay in the mechanic that allows you to get the "accurate still fire". Not to mention that even stopping for a moment is asking to get killed.

I didn't say people need to hipfire either, I was talking about ADS movement.

NC6 Gauss Saw does have a random cone of fire if you ADS, strafe and fire.

Good job trying to flame me though.

True enough. I want a Scout in this game so bad. The CQC sniper rifles feel like they're almost a Scout, but it's the mobility that's missing.
