............................................................................................................. Putting a shotgun (an inherently CQC weapon) on an airplane (which tends to engage at quite a distance considering) seems like a horrible idea. the fact that people complain about a plane having a shotgun is just as absurd as it gets.
Yes plz SOE, we can't have the worst performing ESF actually excel in an area. Nerfs were clearly needed.
Airplane/VTOL/helecopter. If it was an airplane I'd agree, but it's an airplane VTOL helecopter, and in dogfights/A2G close quarters happens a lot.
There should never have been a shotgun on the reaver to begin with, it's a stupid concept that only had one advantage (being incredibly OP in CQ) There should have been a weapon more in line with the Banshee and PPA instead, something anti-infantry.
They nerfed the air hammer but you all know they fixed the Vortek's shot origination though right? We now get our rounds actually going where we aim them. Let the tears commence.
Whoever came up with the idea originally was trolling. They had to be lol. Reading mass QQ about shotguns and NC MAX on forums and stuck a shotgun on a reaver (NC). They had to be, there's no other logical explanation. lol
Didn't the OP make a leaving thread a few days ago ? Seem's like he didn't and was as normal just drama Queening it
Make that a experimental zephyr with a longer reload and blind aim, dive bombing in and then dropping shells... FTW
lol most reaver pilots feel the reaver got buffed this patch. Most are dancing with joy AH was always ok but was a very specific playstyle and only something people did when "in the mood" for a change The cannon aim fix is massive to the general population and general pilots. You might feel like your owning NC but half the time they are fighting with their own bloody aircraft reticle You guys QQ about the AH are in for a shock now our ESF shoots where we aim it. Dogfights jsut got a hell of a lot easier for NC and most wont have to switch to the AH rather than die to a crazy nose cannon aiming randomly at different things.
Understood. That being said MOST engagements tend to be at a distance. Certainly a distance outside that of a shot gun. He airhammer requires a specific style of gameplay, one which is severely limited, and excels in that situation alone. A pilot must get VERY close to his target meaning all other planes can engage him from a considerably further distance. It puts the ESF pilot at a GREAT disadvantage when engaging libs and gals (removing his smaller profile advantage), and is incredibly perilous when engaging ground units as AA has a MUCH easier time killing ESF's 50' off the ground than ESF's sitting 150' off the ground. Yes the VTOL allows the airhammer to be of use, but its only just so. Its still an incredibly situational weapon that hardly deserves a nerf.
