real dumb question

I have been playing the game approx 24 hours. I have looked everywhere...searched the game, wiki, forums, and freakin' googled it with no answer to be found.

How the **** do I get in a vehicle? Yeah, its a pretty lame problem to have. I cannot rebind the key because the option is not available in keybinding screen.

    Thanks in advance :)

I know its an absurd question...can someone waste 2 seconds and answer anyway? Please?

Walk up to the vehicle, look at it. Press E (the standard interact key for most functions in game).

It may not work on all vehicles, depending upon occupancy and owner's preferred settings.

the default key is "e" as in enter

It's also in the Settings, Keybindings also. You can see what all the buttons are and change them too.

    Thank you so much!

I actually tried the interact key first...must not have been an option at the time. I feel ...brilliant :)

Sometimes it takes a second or so next to the vehicle before you can enter. There's a fairly subtle text pop-up on the screen when you can, similar to the terminals.

Now when people stop to pick me up I wont just stand there like a ...noob. Must have been as frustrating for them as for me heheh.

If you're new I would recommend swapping Q and E functionality in the keybindings right from the start. This way you only 'spot' something if you accidently hit E while stabbing the reload key R. This helps avoid embarrasing vehicle exits, especially while dogfighting.

I do have a lovely set of aerial landscapes in watercolour from the early months, however...

Actually the only completely hard-and-fast rebinding advice I have is to move exit vehicle (e) far, far away from reload (r) for aircraft.

    Do it.

    Do it NOW!.
