    With drifter, any bit of height or velocity I can acquire, increases my range and function. There is more to light assaulting than finding a perch and sitting there.

    Other classes don't get to choose where to land, but I would, if I even wanted to.

    You mean like the personal pod launcher in Battlefield 2142? Look it up, was a vehicle that you could drive (think sunderer actually)

    Park it near a Titan ship and players could launch themselves in a pod up to the ship. This could work really well for bio-labs

    Or tech plants, towers, amps... most notable bases actually.

    So you gain some: With Drifters you get easier access to other tanks due to the boost (Which might be small)
    You lose some: LA's won't be the only one's being able to break defenses by circumventing obstacles (perching is barely the problem here).
    I think we would lose more. Drifters would only be up for a nerf if they became even better at AV with C4. I don't want that, you don't want that.
