My biggest thing right now are Alerts are terribly broken. Been forced to play pretty much on Amerish for two weeks. The one time I saw an alert and realized Indar was going to unlock I was very excited. At the end of the alert, Indar unlocked for about 10 seconds then Auto-Locked for another faction, making Amerish open again :(

The game isn't "broken" per se.

It's a PS4 mule masquerading as a browser "Farmville" FPS masquerading as a competitive small base, small team shooter masquerading as an "Epic", "game-changing" FPS.

I know I sound cynical, but I sincerely believe that at some level, the devs wanted the game to be just as it is.

Even the performance issues are to be expected when developing a game across platforms.

I think they wish they were making more money from the PC version, but in the end I don't think much thought went into this game beyond getting the engine to display it.

Higby made a tweet recently that speaks volumes to me.

In it he says he wants his next game to have more depth, more meaning.

I hope he gets his wish and uses PS2 as a reminder on how NOT to do anything in the future.

PS2 is a great game for many people, for the vast majority of those that came for the "epic" part of that experience, well, it's a huge disappointment.

Games fine to me. No idea wtf this OP is talking about. Some hitching at range, but thats it.

Completly agree with OP. The game just seems broken.

The thing that bothers me above everything else is the constant lag. I can deal with the bugs, even the weird half-loading texturers that seem to happen more often nowadays or even that the fps suddenly just drops in half in a second or 2 for whatever reason. The ping seem to jump up to around 175- 200 almost immediately as soon as I enter a fight with more than 10 people and it just becomes unplayable in every way.

Wasnt the ping pretty stable around 80 last summer? I have a vague memory of that, or did sony just starting to let their trainees do all the work for them?

Breaking melee hit registry has definitely been a huge downgrade to me.
I could have gone the entire holiday without "new melee features" ... shoot-knifing is always > double knifing.

I've seen exactly 2 people using that new OHK knife which speaks volumes about how terribad melee is now.
...having to restart the game every half hour too. There's a nasty Mem Leak that's dropping my framerate to 25

Only place I might generally disagree with the OP probably in actually supporting SOE, is the Nerfs. I think a lot of the Nerfs were all equally spread around for the most part and succeeded in lengthening the TTK of the game a bit and that was especially important for the A2G game and somewhat necessary for the Tanking game as well.

I've been through worse since launch but I'm also very disappointed that they keep releasing stuff that are broken and/or break stuff right before weekends and holidays.

God knows how many times the EU servers have had problems in the last year, and we still have issues for days and weeks at a time. It might be different causes now and then but it has to be fixable since the servers actually works "most" of the time, right?

I hope (but I don't believe) they learn some day, cause I'm not looking forward to the weekends and holidays in PS2 anymore as long as there's a patch incoming right before it starts.

It's still a game that I enjoy, but in much smaller portions than before, mostly because of the never ending stream of bugs/issues.
