Random Pausing/Freezing in Game

I have noticed a few times within the last 3 or 4 days, the game will 'pause/freeze' around combat in places. Which does serious problems for flying, especially near ground or fine tune manuevering because 'OMG, Freeze' then 'recover', but now all of a sudden, my means to manuever gets thrown out of whack. One time, I literally saw a freeze, found myself flying upside down and crashing into the ground because I got disoriented from that cause I was trying to manuever for something else and that freeze made me go, WTH.

And I am sure this is affecting other people, cause I am seeing times where people have their ESF just hang in a position for a good period of time, allowing me to hammer them easily, when earlier, they were moving along. Something is causing the Client to pause seriously that will cause problems for vehicles that needs to be looked into.

Happens to me to. Flying with ~40 FPS, then pauses that cause me to completely stop. The game freezes and I dont move at all, but time continues, so I guess that means Im just frozen on other peoples screens to. I froze when in midair (ejecting) and when I unfroze about 10 seconds later my guy was still in the same position in the air. So I literally was flying in midair for 10 seconds to other people.....
Happens in spurts where I freeze multiple times in 5 minutes then stops for about half an hour.

Same problem. It happens when I first fly into a big battle, when all the people pop in on my screen, then it goes back to ~45 fps.

Same thing has been happening to me, its got to the point where I cant play the game anymore.

Runs at 60 FPS fine on high settings. But then when I go to a new area or things have to load my game will freeze up anywhere from 1-60 seconds.

I just rage quit the game there where I used a teleporter and there were 4 NC guys in front of me and my game locked up for around 40 seconds and next thing I know im of course dead on the ground.

    I really need a solution :(

EDIT: also when I close my game, my pc goes into ultra slow mode for some reason and will take minutes to do ANYTHING, and I mean ANYTHING. this is also the case if I alt tab from planetside 2, I cannot do anything without my pc locking up for ages. But when I go back into PS2 its fine. Minus the freezes mentioned above. This is only happening in PS2 for me.

This happens to me frequently as well (never used to). Gets me killed occasionally too (not to mention losing vehicles). This only started happening after this latest update/patch. Dun care about snowmen. Just want to play the game.

    Running an i7 - 2600 @ 3.4 GHz, 16 GB of RAM. Also running a GTX 590.

Oops, forgot to mention that it freezes completely, forcing me to start task manager and then clicking the game tab to get back in. Although sometimes that doesn't work, and I have to restart the game entirely.

Also, I've notice that when I have "smoothing" off, the game seems to stutter quite a bit (jumps from 10 to 130 fps). Try the game with smoothing on. Or does this limit your fps by too much (mine usually stays at 50-60 (used to be 70+ before the optimization update o_O))?
