Random G99 Error

    So, i've been playing PS2 for about 4 hours straight (give or give a few hours), and all of a sudden when I go to load into another base spawn room, the loading screen goes lime green and crashes. When I try to load the game back up, I keep getting a G99 error.

    There are still people playing at this time, and once they crash or logout, they get G99'd as well.

    This just happened to me as the Alert ended on Waterson too. I was on Amerish at an Amp station with like 1 minute on the alert left and crash to desk top with the below screen. Now I can't get back in. This is highly freaking irritating as this same crap happened on the last alert I participated in the other night. 2 hours of work to push the objective and all is lost because SOE can't give you certs based on time spent participating like a competent developer would.

    And I still can't get back into the game. Same error every time. Others in my outfit reporting the same thing.

    I tried logging on for the first time for a several days after having the flu all weekend and ran into the same thing. Try to load up, game crashes before it gets to the character select screen. Game error 99.

    I got 99 problems and they're all Planetside.

    This happened this morning as well. SOE fixed it quickly. Give it about 15 minutes and try logging in again.

    Same error here after random game crash. And I agree; I've lost count of the number of times I'll get a random planetside2.exe process terminating itself without error 1.5+ hours into an alert, it's pretty frustrating.

    Happened to my kid today while we were playing on the same router/IP. G99. I was ok, he fallen victim to this 2 times.

    I'm validating the integrity of my game cache now, hoping that fixes it...

    If not, well... I'll probably check this game out again in a year. Broken servers and faction imbalance are the two reasons I didn't get into it during beta testing, or the live release... apparently neither of those have been fixed, but at least the servers seem more stable. Perhaps in another year or two it will be okay
