This level of cooperation is EXACTLY WHY i put a few certs into nanite auto repair. Now if i dont get hit for a minute my suit starts to self heal. I t will go up from completely dead to 1/4 health and then slowly rise to full health. I just have to hide for awhile (of course this is hard and not as quick as running back to the sqawn room and crouching to indicate i want to be repaired but....it does work.

Tip. You want engi to drop you ammo ask nicely and dont be moron about it. Alphonse Capone has allegedly said "you get more with kind word and a gun" Well you got the gun obviously but do you have a kind word?
  4. Captain Kid

Thanks but jsut did some searching (this stuff isn't on the wiki) and that's not it.
Its actually a certification you can buy and you can assing a target to defend or attack to the WHOLE empire not just your squad.
  5. WyrdHarper

I see. The offensive/defensive markers also make sense, people just don't usually put them on points.
  6. Captain Kid

Ah yes, I was mistaken. I thought of something else I googled. (The red and yellow arrow markers)
Thanks again (and they should either hire someone to do the wiki or put this stuff in game)

If you spam that you need reps like crazy, I find it annoying and I will purposely not rep you.
I do not have to be your slave and do what you want.
If I wanted to be a pocket engy, well I would already be with a max..
Maybe I am playing eng for the AV turret, or so that I have unlimited ammo for myself.
You have no right to expect me to service you like I'm your slave just because I am an engineer.

TK me on purpose because I wont be your slave and I will teabag your dead max.

No worries, the leadership stuff is kind of arcane--there's a smaller community that uses it to the fullest, and a lot of things go missed. the Q spot thing used to be certable, but then they gave it to everyone for free a few patches ago (which is good imo).

In my experience on Mattherson there are only 3 kinds of reliable ammo packs: those of my outfit mates, my own (and even then I often forget), and those of the VS should we actually push them back a notch. Engineers, if you drop us ammo and fix our skill suits, we will make you a trophy out of the skulls of the enemies we killed with your bullets

You are an engineer. Your job is to repair vehicles. I'm not asking for a pocket medic/engie, just to get repped up so I can go wander off and, I dunno, defend our base?

I have stood in front of people getting revived with my shield to protect the medic and person getting back up. I head out first to mark targets that would potentially instagib you, and give them something to shoot at so you can get a turret down, or flank them.

What does it take you to spend 5 seconds, making certs mind you, repairing my max? Doing your damn job? Not much really, infact as I mentioned, you get certs. So if you want to be a useless, by all means. I'll be out there giving engies who aren't dickheads certs and winning the fight.

Sorry bro, I think you are confused, I am here to play, not to work.

You want to run as a max without an engineer in your pocket, that is your choice.
It is my choice whether or not I help you out or just put you on ignore..

If you are spamming voice call outs or prox chat you get ignored.
I am trying to hear the battle, not listen to you complain about not having yourself an engineer.

Also, I don't care if your max dies, you are just taking kills that could be mine while you are walking around in your skill suit.

Now that I think about it, I have no incentive to help you at all.. what some crap repair XP, or some resupply XP, HA.

    Two rules about engi club:
    1) when in doubt, use more gun
    2) Don't run around like an idiot yelling "I THINK I BROKE EEEET" or "I need more batteries!" every .00001 seconds. I heard you the first time and take a second for it to render.
  13. Flashtirade

Not helping out a member of your team who is calling for you to help them because they're annoying you is totally your choice, but don't expect anyone to appreciate the fact that you chose not to even though it only takes seconds of your time.

I hate playing an engineer that carries mines. Because I always get asked for ammo and sometimes they tk.
  15. LibertyRevolution

That is ok, I don't need anyone's appreciation.
I am here for my own amusement, and sometimes that includes watching a wounded max die while spamming for repairs.
I don't play in a squad, I lone wolf, so I don't care about others, you are all just random guys I am fighting for kills.
The only outfit I'm in is on my TR, we are small and close, and they would never expect me to be their slave..

Switch to your mana turret and press B, turns into ammo pack.
Don't deploy it, press B while its in your hand before you deploy it.

See look, I can be helpful. ;)

The biggest Hurdle I've found to getting Ammo is that many people with the Engineer loadout active, did so for Tank-Mines and simply don't understand that pushing 5 and then B then will allow them to place Ammo regardless of having Mines in their 4th slot

Some of them obviously don't even read Chat b/c telling them exactly how to do it, often results in them continuing to stand around on their Mana or run around doing nothing useful (and that's when the TK'ing begins)

Generally I do considering I don't intend to force anyone to play in order to support me, I only ask that they might. But likewise if it pleases me to kill one engineer in a hundred who ignores a team-mate...well he's certainly not going to have much of a chance, is he?

That being said, if you want to play infilrator and run around visibly everywhere, go nuts! Hell, be a light assault and strictly crouch walk everywhere, it'll be hilarious. Just don't expect anyone to thank you, or to care that you're such an "effective" lone wolf engineer who resupplies his own ammo. XD
  18. TheReaperKing82

I have a maxed out ammo pack and I drop ammo constantly but the main problem I have is with the xp cap on ammo resupply. I mean in a good battle, I can put down an ammo pack which will last for like 6 minutes but what is the point if I hit the cap after 2 or even 1 minute in some really intense fire fights? It makes putting down ammo less rewarding and almost makes me feel like I wasted certs maxing it out...
  19. Captain Kid

I don't think playing engineer is a good way to get certs unless you find a good av mana farming spot. Then it totally is!
  20. Elrobochanco

You want the best tip to get repairs or ammo. When you call for it and the engineer stops for a moment and appears to be doing nothing, take a step back away from him. Give him room. If you are a MAX, stop, stand still, maybe move to cover but don't walk through the engineer.

You can't put down ammo if anything is in the way, and if you walk into an engineer who's starting repairs it will cut it off as you clip into him (this can happen a bit because of lag between you and him so stop early) causing him to overheat more and repair less.

Congrats now you've gotten ammo and/or repairs much faster because the engineer didn't have to do an extra dance just to give the service.
