Which do you find youself saying more:? I wish i had a brick of c4 to throw onto that cluster of troops / tank / sundy. I wish i had just a bit more fuel in my JJ Personaly id chose c4, the JJ recharges.
C4 is amazing. It takes skill to use, but there's nothing like disappearing an armored column 1 tank at a time.
Thank I've just bought c4 and am now spending all certs on engie and medic tools and ammo packs (cert farming cuz I cant kill a stalker inf in CQC with a mauler)
I'd first get the JJ's to second to last level and just carry a medkit or two for improved survivability. Upgrade to C4 when you've saved up 700 certs for both bricks, one brick is rather lackluster. Try lowering your mouse sensitivity and get a large mouse pad (about 20-30 centimeters of mouse sensor movement per 360 degree turn in-game is good). Increase your fov a bit from the default (my vertical FOV is about 70). That should be a good starting point for developing your aim.
Just for fun, here's a light assault guide on how to reach interesting places with jumpjets in case you weren't already aware of some of the tricks PS2's weird physics allow you to get away with. The same technique also works well for Hossin's cliffs and mega-gigantic trees.
LA is really a LA once full jump jets and 2 C4. Then you are pretty much at 100% potential. Suit slot doesnt really matter as im running with grenade bandolier and im not throwing them most of the time. Gun depends on your playstyle, but i hate shotguns. Useless to shoot down from roofs etc. Thats a lot of certs but its like unlocking a new class, you ll always have jump fuel and you can pop most vehicules. Fly over them, drop c4, click boom. Restock repeat. Against infantry, just make sure them dont know you are there before you shoot, you arent an heavy. Use high ground and suppressors. If you struggle with aim etc, you have the right idea to play engi/medic for certs. Support is cool too you should die less. LA is hard to play, but by the time you kit it out you should have got better anyway. Also tweak your settings to be around 50-60 fps. Under 30 isnt good for shooters.
Well personally I don't run c4 on my LA most of the time, so I'd say get the jumpjets, depends on your playstyle. But if you want general survivability go for the medkits route. And make sure your jumpjets are certed up to a decent level.
I'd recommend the ASC for light assaults. It improves your mobility further because you have to spend less time recharging shields in cover, and as we know, LA is all about mobility. Not if it's Baron, or if you use slugs
Ahh, I love these kinda threads, so many peeps including me would just get both on the same afternoon. I remember at the start when 100 certs was worth alot. Now I just max a cert line just to see what it does, then never use it again.
A comprehensive guide to certs in Planetside 2: 1: Pick the medic class 2: Cert the applicator (second to last rank is great, the one before that also works, and shouldn't be too expensive), and get one rank of the regeneration field 3: Find a big fight on the map and deploy there 4: Stand behind all your teammates, drop the regeneration field down at every doorway/window where you plan to stay for longer than 10 seconds to revive people 5: Watch as the certs come in, +100/hour with a medic is very easy and honestly takes absolutely 0 player skill, just keep your eyes open for dead teammates.
A whole threat on how epic C4 is.... Killing skythe with C4... (Ok, the drifter jetpack was also a little bit certet )
