PS2 to be more like TF2

I love the fact that this is repeatedly brought up as the immersion breaker, and yet the hockey / skull masks were ok and didn't break immersion one bit.

Just goes to show, different strokes and all.

With the current state of the game, you could go ahead and release them year long and people would accept the running gag.

You could even make an event out of it. Auraxis Fool.

I would imagine it's because those things have pop culture ties to violence and conflict, whereas a bucket on your head just screams that you're an idiot or a little kid hiding in the closet.

Looking forward to the days when I get killed by a guy wearing a santa hat on Christmas, a guy wearing cupid wings on Valentine's day, and bunny ears on Easter. Huzzah!

But they wont. There will be individuals who will line up to spend $7-10 on a digital bucket on a digital character....and PS2 will become TF2...a cartoon. Theres a reason i never played TF2. ITS A CARTOON GAME!!!!

Ok, i am not a fan of calling out SOE. But this is stupid, please do not make more BS stuff and throw it into the game. I need to find that tweet but whatever happened to "Don't worry we will not put anything in that goes against PS2 lore" this is a legitimate slap in the face.

I see what you guys are going for but come on....we don't need more of this F2P BS. We need more/better gameplay elements and bug fixes. This is NOT making me want to give you guys money......At all..

Yeah april fools release, big woop - we got pumpkin heads for halloween.

Would be a bit iffy if they charged $ for them and then made them only usable at April fools ... So I would guess ( if it remains a player studio $ item ) It will be permanat year round after the event in the same way you retain flare guns year round ...

But a no from me for " buckets " but considering the console direction of the game I expect them asap ..

That's what has me worried. I don't know what the contract with the creator will specify. If SOE really thinks that running around with a mop bucket on your head fits with the lore of their own universe, then I don't think I want to give them any more money. I can tolerate an event, those don't last forever. The permanancy that seems to go along with Player Studio is another matter.

... No please no. Seasonal items yes, but not a bucket. I hate it when games go overboard with little joke armors and hats. It pisses me off. (One of the reasons I stopped playing DC online...) Immersion goes to Hell. Im trying to run an awesome (evil) magic person and all the sudden here comes a flying dude with an ak47 whereing a clown mask some sort of power armor and clown shoes and you know what... It bothered me. Granted... I killed him.

Still don't like those, but they were literally the only other real helmets you could buy back then. Tbh I hated them, but variety is the spice of life and this is going too far imo.

If they released that, I probably wouldn't ever buy another helmet again. I would only wear the bucket. Except on my sniper infiltrator. Gotta wear a stetson for sniping.

all they need is some april fools event where you can earn it (or buy it) under the knowledge its an April only item and they're fine.

Even better, just give it to everyone on April Fools for free (get permission from creator since they'd get nothing for it... maybe give him a 4000SC stippend to give it out to everyone on April Fools every year.... I'm sure they'd take the offer)

Hockey/skull masks were dumb and bad taste but a freaking bucket is overkill lol
