PS2 Crash at 5%

    Hayo,

    Game is crashing at 5%, no error messages generated, just a cute lil' C2D.
    No idea what's causing it, nothing has changed system-wise, no updates or anything. I have tried both the Steam version and standalone. I have also tried all the suggestions on the support page. Send halp.

    Same problem for me since yesterday. Launcher patched about 80 Mb and the game is dead since.

    Loads shortly to 5% and dies with "Planetside2 is not working anymore..."

    I don't remember a patch but yep, exactly that. I had just activated my heroic boost too. :(

    Latest 79mb patch changed nothing, still crashes at 5%

    PS2 crashes at 5% for me if I have Recursion Stat Tracker running. Might want to shut down any extraneous programs, especially anything with an overlay, and try again.

    Well crap, looks like MSI Afterburner was causing the problem, I was so sure I had tried closing everything. Looks like I'll have to resort to using Shadowplay to record =/

    Recursion seems to be the cause of this for me - there's a post on their forums where they're already investigating.

    Could the latest Nvidia drivers be a root cause? IIRC I updated mine yesterday. I'm running 344.75. Has anyone not updated yet or is running ATI and is experiencing this?

    (Then again I've also installed Office 2010, switched my mouse from an old DeathAdder to the current DeathAdder Chroma, updated Razer Synapse, removed the Gamecom headset software and installed the Razer virtual surround software in the past 48 hours or so)

    Getting this as well. Recursion was causing this, though this is very odd since Recursion didn't get updated, my GPU didn't get updated, and Planetside 2 didn't get updated... what gives?

    Same problems for three days now, it goes to the splash load screen then crashes at 6% and gives me a G99 error.

    Repair option doesn't fix it.

    I think you have a different problem. The one caused by recursion and other overlays crashes at 5% with no G99 error, just a windows popup that planetside has stopped working.

    BTW for anyone being affected by the 5% error, you can start recursion or MSI after planetside loads and it's fine.
