Tried launching the game from steam but it got stuck on the launch screen, for some reason it cant update. So i decided to verify integrity of game cache. Got a bunch of errors. Had to wait an hour for it to reinstall on my steam but the download stopped. now i cant even launch the game.. I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling... Same problems
do u have another hardrive u can install it on. I had PS2 installed on an SSD and for some reason patching would take hours, a 50mb patch, thats an hour I am on 20 meg BB too, a 1gig patch thats an overnight job, ridiculous, fixed by sticking it on my other hardrive so I run skyrim on my SSD for the sexy fast load times instead.
Its installed on my hardrive. It just says download pause. Cant run it. I tried deleting the whole planetside 2 folder so i can fresh reinstall everything but it gave me error 0x80070570 : The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable
It's Steam. When I first tried this game it was through Steam. It was a nightmare. I uninstalled and got it direct through SoE and haven't had a launch error since. That was almost 2 years ago. I haven't had a good experience on any 3rd party MMO game with Steam. Warframe, etc, all a problem until I went direct.
Get rid of Steam. Plenty of threads in this forum about Steam not being useful, at all, but rather hurting this game's performance. You don't need steam to run PS2. Why go through a 3rd party when you can play this game directly?
Are you installing it on an external hard drive? This can lead to issues so installing it on your internal drive would be best.
Its internal hardrive. Seems like steam is the problem, i install the game via the website and its fine. DAM IT STEAM !!!
