Pressing E in the loadout screen closes it

    WHY YOU DO THIS SONY?!

Terminals are still as hit and miss as beta. Sometimes you can press E instantly, sometimes it takes a second or two. Due to that I have an ingrained habit of mashing E to get the terminal up because god knows when the server will let you.

Now when you press E after the loadout screen is up it closes the screen and returns you to the game.

Either fix terminals so you can press E instantly or make it so E doesn't close the screen like it used to be for the last year.

You want quality of life suggestions? How about not actively hurting the existing quality of life.

I can't wait to read about the next thing you complain about!

They implemented this to allow for fast restock of ammo/nades afaik. So you didn't have to hit the ressuply button. Personally i like it.

I wouldn't be bothered by this feature......if the bloody loadout screen didn't have a .5 to 1 second delay before it opens!
    But Hicks be more patient?
I friggen would....but previous idiotic game design makes me think pressing E didn't work! If they hadn't had so many issues in the past where you had to stand in the secret position and spam E to use a terminal then I wouldn't constantly think it didn't work.

Edit: When I end up with the loadout screen popping open and then closing I end up just wanting to shotgun the person next to me in the face......it's a poorly thought out feature.

I personally dislike it and agree with the OP waste of code , programmers should worry about the real issues, IF IT AINT BROPKEN DONT FIX IT. They fixed something adn broke it that didn't need fixing, god soe are full of fools

This is precisely my point. The random diceroll you get for accessing a terminal was in beta. People complained about it in beta and no fix.

Now we get a "fix" that compounds this problem. Mashing E to get the terminal up was a ghetto fix but it worked.
And now we randomly get our loudout screen cancelled if we mash E.

    GJ, right?

The only thing I'm worried about is accidentally switching from MAX to Light Assault when I'm trying to resupply. Did they fix that bug yet? So far I've managed to avoid doing it and I'm always reeeeeeally careful when I resupply my MAX, but I'm worried lag will screw me over here and I'll end up doing it by hitting e too many times.

Wait, so after all these months of knowing that you have to wait a second for the terminal you still haven't figured it out?

The problem is when the terminal lags so I press E again to open it (thinking it didn't go through the first time) after which the terminal pops up and immediatly goes away.

Yeah its annoying, it isn't changeable in keybinds, or some miscellaneous INI?

    oh wow, they did this?
    Thanks to Sony!!!
I didn't know, thanks for making a post about this wonderful feature. Now I don't have to click on resupply. Why not just press E instead of mashing it over and over again? Maybe your E key is broken for mashing it all this time?My b key doesn't work, so I have to copy and paste it all the time(ctrl v)... I think it has something to do with me mashing the b key to type the b word.. :(
  12. Ronin Oni

How about you UNKEYBIND IT THEN?

Why mash E anyways? hitting it once works.

I think 'R' might make more sense though, prolly what I'll change mine to

hit 'E' to resupply and YOU'LL NEVER WORRY ABOUT THAT AGAIN ;)

Omg, this. What is it with people mashing E over and over again expecting the terminal...to what? Come up faster?
  15. Ronin Oni

They just have no short term memory and forgot they already hit 'E' ;)

So can anyone confirm if the class/loadout hotkeys still work even if the terminal screen hasnt loaded?
  17. Ronin Oni

    appears that way
  18. gigastar

Then theyre complaining about nothing. They only need to learn to press the right buttons, then they dont need the screen to load.
