PPA Disbelievers 150/0 Kill Spree Video (Mattherson)

A good friend and outfit mate wrote a post comparing the various empire specific Harasser AI variants. In the thread many of the posters didn't believe players could go on 100+ killing sprees using a Marauder let alone a PPA. They said even if it could be done, it would be the result of spawn camping an AMS. Here is a 23 minute unedited video of an estimated 150/0 killing spree, well the most interesting part. No AMSes harmed in the video.

Having used the PPA before, I can tell you it's pretty damn awesome if you know how to aim and lead. I use the Lasher a lot, so maybe it comes second nature to me, but I liked it a lot. It's a better Har weapon than it is a MBT weapon, definitely way more useful than the C85 Modified.

But lets nerf the vulcan

We play TR too. Prior to the Harasser nerfs, we've gone on a 280/0 killing spree using the Marauder. As for the Vulcan, I'd rather use a Halberd. Vulcans are lethal up close but distance is the key to survival. Not saying the Vulcan isn't good, but I much prefer the Halberd.

At least the PPA is a little bit more skill required than the Vulcan point and win lol. The Har Vulcan needs a 30-45 shot mag, not the full 60 MBT mag, then all will be fine with the world. Aside from the Marauder... that's still cheap and ridiculous compared to what everyone else gets.

Wow.. The weapon does the same damage as the Marauder, same "bullet" speed, same ROF but it shoots straight and has 20x more ammo in the magazin than the marauder.. And i wonder why VS harasser own everything.. I wonder if there is any balance between factions..

The vulcan sucks vs Infantry.. the damage is good, the bullet speed & accuracy aswell. Normally it would be one of the best AI weapons but suddenly its the worst. Why? Simple: You always have wait untill the gun shoots "fast" before you actually kill an infantry and that makes the TTk extremely slow. It's like 2 seconds doing zero damage and in the third you do 80% of the damage and kill him (because the weapon is on full ROF then)..

It shouldn't have any mag at all. It's a gatling gun. Funny thing is that It would probably still do less sustained damage against armoured targets than saron and enforcer as well if it didn't have any reload.

But nice enough PPA video just because I like to see people doing well with stuff that people dismiss quickly.

In all honesty, I don't think it's the weapons that make the vulcan OP. I think it's a combination of composite armor rating, speed, and the ability to be repaired on the fly.

Probably! That's the life of Harasser piloting/gunning. So many close calls, and yes the recent and deserved nerfs definitely make playing much more difficult. The combination of those nerfs (composite nerfed 4% and stock resistance to small arms down from 85% to 80%) plus the buffing of the stock Sundy weapon the Basilisk really make the Harasser quite fragile by comparison.

well, it's not like you took any risks to begin with.
this was probably the most cautious, aka boring harasser driving I've seen so far.

could do the same with a vulcan...especially with those players..

PPA was never bad but a new challenge , use the Enforcer C85.

We don't like dying. We're old-school gamers from the age of FPSes that punished death with having to sit out for several minutes for making the mistake of dying. This isn't a montage video of outrageous gameplay although I do have plenty of footage with such events. We really just wanted to show that the PPA isn't all that bad compared to the Marauder.

Still waiting for you to reveal your in game character friend; in the meantime keep making whatever claims you want while hiding behind your forum alt.
