Post here if your 64 bit client Crashes.

I used the 'very low' preset and now it seems class change at consoles doesn't lock up the game anymore.

Guys do me a favour Load up task manager and check what ps exe's are running, i have 2, ones a 32 bit ones a 64bit. Want to know if its just me or is it overall. I keep closing the 32 but still crash quicker n a test drive dummy.

Unfortunately very low presets don't help vs. freeze on continent change. :/ I give up.

Crash, crash and crash !

Since the latest shadow patch a few minutes ago, a crash each 4-5 minutes !!!
Frankly, do something SOE, it's very bad now !!!

Crashed about 10 times since the patch
On a double XP weekend too, what a surprise............

Fecal matter. Typed a whole story here, got a call and mindlessly closed the browser.
Alright. This time it'll be shorter. The story I mean, you pervs.

Game crashing a LOT since today.

Started up, installed the patch for the patch, as per usual.
Waiting for that bright green button to go ">>PLAY<<". It did. Oooh it did. Multiple times up untill this post, however just once with the "Installing..." bit though...
-7%... stuck... waiting... probably just an after-update-update-startup-crash...
-Untill SUDDENLY: Character select screen! Yay!
-Logging in. Loading bar got stuck in a semi-transparent way, and no progress visible.
-Time for login was about 40 secs (if I may believe my watch)
-Indar, I choose you! Equip a LA with C4 and have fun.
-Pour myself a whisky (The Balvenie, 12 yrs old DoubleWood single malt if you must know... it's on of my favorites)
-So far so good.
-5 Minutes in, the game freezes. Unusually I might add. Something was "up".
-Ctrl-alt-del and ended the program.
-Restart, and basically the same thing after 5 or so minutes again.
-This process repeated itself 4 more times
-All of the times the game froze, the memory used was about 3Gb...
-Now I'm sitting here with a nice whisky next to me, actually pondering to start playing a game which will crash every 5 minutes just because it's friday and I've got no obligations tonight. Hell.. still beats playing solitaire

Crashes happened:
-Twice as a LA, once on foot and once in a Reaver that I just deployed,
-Once as a HA trying to seduce a not-so-friendly MAX unit to eat more rocket
-Once as an engineer in a Vanguard after heating up a Red Mist Sunderer fast enough that it went from a solid state to a gas instantly. Quite amazing actually to see this kind of chemistry displayed on Auraxis as well...
-Once while switching to a MAX. Mine has pink weapon camo, but that's not the point.
- I'm missing a restart. I don't remember what it was.

The only thing I can tell you, is that the crashing started today.

Well, actually the game crashes a lot, but that's not the point. Yet.
Usually I can play a session with the game crashing maybe 1 or 2 times. Time enough to get behind enemies and lay waste to medics/MAX'/engineers that are huddling together behind a wall or a doorway. Poor bastards. Well, at least I try. Sometimes I fail. Mostly really. But when I succeed in delivering a remote detonated explosive gift to my enemies, a 29 year old man that's soon to be married will laugh like a 4 year old girl on RedBull. In other words:
Worth it!

Oh here are some system specs, and before you start:
-It's a laptop
-No major problems before
-Running the game at ultra just because I can.
-Usually in aforementioned crowded situations (read: Biolabs), the fps is about 50-60
-Temp stays below 80.

RAM 16 Gb
Hard drive Samsung SSD 840, 111 Gb
Cyborg R.A.T. 7 mouse, which deserves mentioning because of it's sheer awesomeness!


One other thing.
Sony, or rather the developers at the Planetside 2 desks.
Please stop the weekly updates. They're excremental.
Go for monthly or quarterly, and make sure everything actually works the way you want it to.
Otherwise, in this case: have users make their own choice whether or not to use the 32-bit or the 64-bit client. It's really just one button and a .exe file..... at least that way, we have something to fall back on


Also, stop apologizing. Apologies are time wasted on fixing the problem.

This works! I still have crashes, but alot less. Before i deleted and redownloaded the files i had 1 crash every 10-15min, now i have about 1 crash every hour. Still annoying, but playable.

Crashing every 20 ish min...

Back to Wow for a while till this is sorted. This is causing me more stress and anger than being killed by Ace pilots all the time

Check the memory the game is pulling after its crashes guys, mine was 16gb before I forced it down.

64-bit crash crew reporting in

I crash and all crashing, everyone keeps crashing, the game is unplayable. When I crash my desktop goes white and I have to log off or restart my PC.
