No, do stuff far more fun. Think outside of the box. Once a hacker is identified do this for ALL accounts linked to a unique hash that identifies that specific computer:

    1. Flag the player so the server stops registering 75% of any damage dealt. But don't make it obvious, send the cheater fake kill messages so they think they are still "owning." Make the cheater think everybody is hacking because they get kill messages but the targets won't die.
    2. Randomly highlight the cheater with a hex wide dorito for all enemies to see.
    3. Randomly add between 4 and 10 seconds to the respawn timer.
    4. Randomly, and frequently, triple all incoming damage.
    5. Randomly skip X% of the letters in X% of the messages of all outgoing in game text communication so their mates think they are r3tarded. Example (/t ude im oning ths ns)
    6. Randomly have instant action drop the cheater in the ocean, lava, or the center of an enemy tank zerg.
    Other things to do:
    • Make PS2 randomly take 5 minutes to boot.
    • Force every zone change to take X amount of extra time.
    • Send random fake player data to the client and make the cheater freak out when nobody is there.
    • When they are out in the middle of nowhere and think they are alone, create some gunfire sounds and damage them a few times, but don't kill them. They will go nuts trying to figure out why the ESP is not working.
    • Randomly start decreasing important player stats in very small amounts (accuracy, headshots...ect).
    • Disconnect the client X% of time a vehicle is pulled. Let them enjoy some vehicle timer rage.
    • Randomly make them to change their account password because "Your account has been hacked". Force a stupidly strong password, like 15 characters minimum with three non-adjacent numbers and two non adjacent capitol letters.
    • Give them a few free "special" camos, such at prison orange, ultra neon yellow, & electric neon blue. Be sure they actually glow a little bit. Make the camos look normal clientside. When they complain about it on the forums just call it "A nasty bug we are working hard on", but never fix it. When they un-equip "bugged" camos, randomly re-equip them.
    • Randomly transfer their characters to the Chinaside servers. Take a day or so each time to "correct" the issue. Give them a new free "bugged" camo for the inconvenience.
    • Any subtle thing to waste the cheaters time, but make it so they do not want create a new account.

This would be far more entertaining. Hell could hire a staff specifically to harrass hackers daily. would be awesome.

I would rather not deal with them at all, thanks.

    Funny though.

You must know nothing about hacking don't you? Hackers can just find another way around the code to un-do those stuff to continue their hacking
    If this isn't serious....
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY :D
  8. Goats

Hehe. This would be funny. I would definitely do this for them if I got the tools, just for fun. Maybe it can be something for the devs to mess around with while on breaks?

Make them hate the game so much they don't try and get around the ban, this actually makes sense, as weird and ridiculous as it is. Would be great fun though :p

Let's all point at them and laugh. all of them are great but the one with skins in bright orange (including vehicles) would be most interesting.

true, but if they could find a way to stop them from getting around it....god, that would be perfact, id volenteer to sit there and harrass them XD

Well hacking in this sense is actually people using injected client-side scripts to gain an advantage (Wallhacks, aimbots, health indicators, perm-detection minimaps etc). Those sorts of things would be handled server side which would require the cheater to edit the packets, which isn't the same, because it's illegal in such a way that you can actually be charged for doing it and being detected doing so would not end well for them. It's one thing to be banned for client side hacks, its another thing to be arrested.

Then again I could be totally mistaken. What does it matter, I want them to glow. I want to be reminded of the good old crysis days were people would cloak and speed hack on Mesa but their shadow would cast on high quality making them easy targets for VTOL missles. Or how they used freeze bullets that were no good because experienced players broke out of them fast enough to kill the person who shot them :p

Or my personal favourite, using admin scripts to set a singularity blast to a 10 second delay right on top of them. If they didn't run fast enough it would catch them and kill them. Good times.

Just like Bohemia Interactive's FADE system for non-legit copies of ArmA 2. When the game detects something is amiss, your accuracy would inexplicably go down the drain, followed by screen going wobbly...and i mean WOBBLY, then invincible AI, screen fading to black, etc...

Best anti-piracy I've ever seen. Effective too, many groups claimed to have cracked it but I've never seen it on a current release. If the same tech was applied to cheaters, the world would be a much greater place.

This is just one example, of one effect of FADE:

This would be both unfeasible and a massive waste of moderator/admin/coder time.

Serious Sam BFE made a pink scorpion chase hackers around the map.

Love it - would happily accept the lack of dev time for this to be implemented.
