Players transmitting music, fun or annoyance?

There's been a couple times I've heard a player outputting AC/DC through positional voice comms.

In the right scenario, it can be uplifting and morale boosting. Other times it can be a hindrance if you're trying to listen out for enemy movements.

If it does annoy you, there's an option to set how much other in-game sounds are decreased if someone is transmitting.

What have your experiences been? A good laugh or plain annoyance?

Depends on the music. Mostly I just end up muting them 'cause it's awful.

If he's sitting at the warp gate doing it, I mute him. Otherwise, I'm the only person IV seen doing it. I personally play ride of the valkaries over comms as my outfit rolls out in our galaxies.

What music would they have to be playing for you not to mute them?

Short bursts of proper music are good, long, overly loud, entire songs/albums are bad.
That's my take on it.

Major annoyance. Most of it is awful, but that aside, keep your music to yourself.

Well there was a guy transmitting 'Safety Dance' once. It was kinda funny in that context.

Not that big of a deal since you can mute them fairly easily now.

trolls desperately seeking attention who didn't get enough of it from mommy for the day.....all of them......funny for about 5 seconds.....then i mute them, then when this ****tttty mute system unmutes them i simply leave the battle and let them get their ***** handed to them.....If i wanted to hear music i wouldn't be playing a video game........ seriously.

VOIP spam is VOIP spam no matter how you cut it............in vehicle radios though, awesome..........Battlefield Vietnam with some CCR blaring out the door of your Huey....priceless.

VOIP spamming some horrible Asian techno....... annoying as all *** and gets me to promptly leave that idiot to his own devices.

Ride of the valkyries in a vehicle column is always acceptable.

Mood/situation congruent music outside of firefights: good.
Outside of that it's mostly annoying.

For Outfits and squads, sure, people can kick you out if they don't like it lol. For general proximity voice? Annoyance for sure.

Generally, it's an annoyance. But I heard about one guy who just drove around aimlessly in a sunderer playing ice cream truck music over proximity chat. That guy was alright with me.

Depends. Ride of the Valkyries is pretty awesome when doing air raids is cool. Hearing Crazy Saxaphone when doing a Sundy destruction derby is funny. Seeing a Sundy go by playing the ice cream truck song is hilarious.

Magic Carpet Ride and similar selections are always available on request in squad voice for Galaxies I pilot.

There is a TR guy on Mattherson who's name wont make it past the censor on this forum that is on literally 12 hours a day doing nothing but playing music in the warpgate or at hot spots. Some times it is annoying but he has grown on me and the rest of the Enclave as he sort of follow's us around. Last night we had a t least 20 AA MAX's and 30-40 HA's dancing on the landing pad of a bio lab to the music for a solid hour or more. His name is something like g-a-yunicorn6969

How to transmit music in game? What program I have to use?
