For some reason PS2 is crashing. It usually happens when I transport to another continent and it just freezes and crashes to desktop. Or it happens while playing the game and there is no freezing, just crash to desktop. A few days ago when it started, it was every 1-2 hours. Now it is every 20-30 minutes. This is a HUGE turn off for me. Some specs are below, I can provide all of them if needed. I have not Overclocked anything. i5 3570k @3.4 ghz. (usually runs at 20-35 celsius) GTX 670 Windforce (gigabyte) (usually runs 30-40 celsius) z77 Ud5h (gigabyte) 2x4 8 gigabytes of RAM @ 1866 mhz. (for some reason runs at 30 celsius idle)
Having the same issues all of a sudden after only crashing once every couple of hours previously. Something has changed in the past 48 hours with PS2 that broke it for some people. It's just like you describe. Either I just drop to my desktop, no errors or message or anything. Or I am logging in or zoning to somewhere and it freezes my whole computer. I can't end task or CTRL-ALT-DEL or anything, no BSOD. It just locks up.
PhysX on? Graphic driver series? Running on Ultra? Using Steam to run the game? Verify files? Tried deleting these? PlanetSide2.exe ActivityUserData.ini LaunchPad-user.ini LoadingScreen.xml InputProfiles.xml SoundSettings.xml UserOptions.ini vivoxoal.dll vivoxsdk.dll
why note all those idle temps? try turning physx off. i keep mine on even if it crashes me every now and then, it looks too good to turn off.
