This has been happening to me sense the beginning of testing, and I reported it. 4/5 of proper game exits crash game. Dunno if it's safe to post dxdiag where others can see so I won't.
Ill add a +1 for this issue, reported some weeks ago during beta as well. Dxdiag report exceeds maximum post length.
I have the same Problem so far no crashes in-game only when I press EXIT to quit game and I get Planetside 2 .exe stopped working and a couple of my friends have the same problem. This also happened to me during beta version also please fix this.
this has been happening to me (crashing on exit) since vets were let into beta, i reported it many times then began to think that the reasons may have had to do with the bug reporter app and after they removed that it would be gone.
I've had this too, since I got into the beta. I never really thought of it as a problem because, well, if you're exiting the game then you're pretty much done with it anyways, right? Of course it would be nice not to get it every time, but it's really more of a polishing matter than anything else.
I also have this issue every time I exit the game. Everything else works fine but when I click "Log Out" and then "Exit Game" (or whatever it is) I get a crash after the game has exited. No real issue since I can just close the crash dialog but it's a tad annoying. Windows 7, 64 bit, Nvidia 570GTX (latest beta drivers, 310.61), 8GB RAM, Comodo + Microsoft Security Essentials (both are antivirus protection).
It's a bit worse on xp The music starts skipping and your system runs very slow. Then windows pops up a box saying it closed it to protect your computer. Between this and the other problem I'm having, I can't imagine how it was in beta.
I get this exact same crash every time I exit. Windows 8 64bit, I7 3770K, 580GTX 3GB SLi, NV 310.61 drivers. Not really a big deal, As it doesn't seem to affect anything.
same, always crashes when clicking exit Problem signature: Problem Event Name:BEX Application NamelanetSide2.exe Application Version:0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp:50adc7c5 Fault Module Name:StackHash_5861 Fault Module Version:0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp:00000000 Exception OffsetCH_59_FROM_ntdll+0x00041318 Exception Code:c0000005 Exception Data:00000008 OS Version:6.2.9200.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID:2057 Additional Information 1:5861 Additional Information 2:5861822e1919d7c014bbb064c64908b2 Additional Information 3:dac6 Additional Information 4:dac6c2650fa14dd558bd9f448e23afd1 Dxdiag coming next

mine does crash too. Actually even in beta the game never closes correctly. I wrote a script to just nuke the process when i'm done playing. At least then it closes with out perhaps causing a BSD which i got once do to the CTD.
With all the reporters from this thread alone, how was this not looked into? People working on the game have said they didn't know it was a problem at the earliest a month ago. /sigh
