Planetside 2 camo coverage change Round 1

This just in, touch my VS Ashtiger in any way Higby and I´ll fly over to the states and paint your entire HQ purple. Have we finally found something to annoy VS again, now that the PPA is gone we needed something else that´s bad about VS, huh?

I have yet to have any trouble identifying VS on my NC or TR chars, and my NC and TR chars have perfect camo coverage. So why, 2,5 years after you finally changed VS Camo Coverage, do we now need to change it back to early release state? Don´t have any stuff to fix and content to implement?

Also, anyone playing for more than a few hours stops looking at colors and focuses on silhouettes to identify opponents, not to mention that after a couple of meters camo "vanishes" anyhow.

It seems that alot of the guys over at Reddit like it.

Bill Yeats tweeted that their will be more camo coverage over helmets after listening to feedback which I guess is better than stage 1 of what we just saw. However it seems that it will happen either way, this game is getting nerfed for the feeble minded.

Try Esamir white camos, Amerish green ones and Indar rock/sand styles - everything that is used to blend into surroundings.

I sure hope that helmets get proper camo coverage because there is absolutely no point whatsoever to the various hood styles otherwise.

Basically that's the problem with almost all VS classes.

I want the blue removed from my characters (NC), it clashes with my toxic and shatter camo. PS NC max + armor + helm + dual falcons = bumblebee

Waaay back in the Tech Test and Beta Test forums back in 2012, when Camo was being tested as an option for Cosmetics. I was in the Tech Test day 1 since I was a Planetside 1 Veteran. (Active PS1 vets all got Tech Test access to my knowledge.)

Those Forums are long since deleted since the game went out of Beta. I am not sure if it is possible at all to find those posts. You can take it or leave it, I admittedly don't have much supporting evidence.

The only reason I actually bought SC is to buy camos. I bought about 6 of them, because they are beautiful and I did not mind the price. If they screw this up, I am not spending any more SC out of principle.

Just for the record, camo has always been useless in this game since nature is static. There are no leaves falling or trees shaking or something. The only thing that is moving is the soldier, so you immediately spot him - unless it's night and you are fighting VS, because in this case you can't see anything.

The real question about camo is this: Do you want to dress similar to the enemy, so they think you are friendly or do you want to make sure that everyone knows to which empire you belong (similar to red english army coats) so you don't get shot by your own people?

Sometimes I am playing with morons and I need to wear the brightest Blue/Red/Teal I have...
Sometimes I am playing solo and I like to dress like the faction I am fighting.

How about they just leave camo alone... just give the VS a little more teal on them and call it a day..
