    Also,

Dual Burster MAX = 100 Infantry resources.
    ESF = 200 Aerospace resources.

Do the math. 1 Dual Burster should not destroy ESF in a single pass.
  2. Thunderhawk

I see what you're saying, but you can only Cert the Decoy flares down to 20 second cooldown......that's it, 3 HA with Nemesis and every aircraft is either dead, or running away to repair..... which means clear skies. We can't spam decoy flares at will
  3. overcorpse

Wow the games less than a week old and you have managed to fully cert your ESF?Not surprising really when you have such a target rich environment, able to hover at spawn points and missile spam everything that moves, able to shoot down Liberators with your A2G weapons and the ability to run away at will at the first sign of danger.Ooops at half armour better bug out!!!!
  4. Thunderhawk

And before someone says anything about 1v1 (HA vs ESF) the Nemesis is free (from terminals once you get it) the ESF costs 200 Air resources and is on a cooldown.

Hence the balance of having more than one HA needed.....
  5. Valeriu

so thats 3 players to take out one....

and no its not, you cant count on them all firing at the same ESF, you cant guarantee they hit.

Seriously, its incredibly easy to avoid missiles. Dont think I've been hit by one yet, I either faceplant into a mountian (mouse flyiing, really need a new joystick), or a better pilot chain guns me. Which is fair enough.

But when I fly i never really care about missiles, hug the deck and tight corners round stuff and they miss. And your straffing runs should be done at speed, none of this almost stationary hovering crap, leave that to the gunships.

TLDR; "I have paid to win, so I deserve to win!"
  7. Thunderhawk

Your argument is invalid, as you still ignored all the counters I gave for ESFs and chose to just be sarcastic, lets have a discussion and I'll try harder to take you seriously.
  8. overcorpse

How is my argument invalid? So you think it's OK for you to be able to shoot down a heavy bomber with your OP A2G weapons? Interesting.
  9. Ashur

Oh please, let's not even pretend for a minute that the 200 air resources and a cooldown are in any way shape or form a deterrent. If you can fly even just "decently" you're always going to have enough resources and a ready cooldown for your gaming session.

The fact however is that rocketpods **** on everything, be it liberators, tanks, ground, everything gets obliterated in to a fine paste and that is completely "fine" as fine as pilots go, but the counters to that are apparently all supposed to "deter" rather than kill.

There is a massive, massive problem with rocketpods in that a bloody fighter aircraft is a better air 2 ground bomber than the air 2 ground heavy bomber.

Take from this what you will...

I play at least 95% of my time as infantry, as of Saturday night (I didn't get the chance to play yesterday) I've been killed once by infantry with a BR > 20 whereas I've been killed countless times by rocket pod fitted ESFs piloted by players with a BR > 20
  11. Mansen

AA is shredding apart aircraft as is.
  12. Kaeldian

I just find it a bit unfair that I, as a tank driver, can get royally ****** up by a single hit from a default Heavy Assault rocket in my rear, but there appears to be no default equal on the ground to mess up a flier good.

AA needs a slight buff, no ands ifs for buts about it.

  13. Davinel

Dunno where you find them.. I too playing infantry and been killed by rocket pods.. i dont know.. maybe one time a day? Probably not every day even.
  14. Davinel

Nope. AA does not need buff. Buff to AA will kill liberators and galaxy, they will became unusable.
If ESF is a problem - they should nerf ESF. Maybe lower their health, or reducing amount of rockets by 2-4 or reducing aoe size..
  15. Tmandalay

I'm a terrible pilot and I know it. I enjoyed watching your videos. It proves that skill still is a factor in this game which is awesome!
  16. hat84

ok i dont know if this has been stated yet but once people get tired of the air and start certing bursters and skyguards you will see a large reduction in the rocketpod ****.

once it was figured out in beta every one flocked to the rocket pods which then made others flock to the burster max. it got balanced out this way but it took a week or so.

also does the max suit still have one burster unlocked stock or did they change it back?
  17. SKYHEX

Do not buff AA. The only thing that will do is screw over liberators and galaxies. And you don't wannna screw liberators. Otherwise it's gonna be tankside all over again (anyone remember?). Rocket pods are realy the thing that needs lowering their efficiency. In beta I could wreck ground even with just the Hailstorm Turbolaser (that is one extrememely sweet cannon <3), let alone rocket pods. The rocket pods' purpose should be taking out the uncovered infantry, decimating lightnings (provided they are not top-armored skyguards of course), and annoying/finishing off sundies and MBTs. Emphasis on FINISHING OFF. Libs can take care of ESFs (I always do as a tailgunner, kekekekeke), but galaxies could use some more AA love as well.
  18. Thurwell

There's another reason one MAX shouldn't be able to take out one ESF. Visibility. When a plane flies over an area, everyone on the ground can easily spot it so every piece of AA in the area opens up on that one plane. However the pilot can barely find the MAXes and HAs shooting at him, can only shoot one at a time even if he can find them, and has to bug out in a few seconds or get shot down. So if one piece of AA, even a skyguard, is equal to one plane AA sweeps the skies clear and we're back to beta status.

really? Have you not seen the ridiculous amount of G2A missilespreventing pilots from ever getting near the battlefield, the non rendering Maxes and the A2A missiles which are simply unavoidable?
  20. Naix

Have you even tried AA? Guessing not because it is behind a huge paywall and any intelligent player would be certing an ESF hard right now.

Option 1: Cert Dual Burster and only successfully annoy aircraft, kills are few and far between, and a very low number of certs per hour is expected.

Option 2: Cert into the currently overpowered ESFs which are hard-counters to literally everything in the game at the moment, they do it all. High mobility, high survivability by simply hitting afterburners and running away, and ability to kill everything encountered with A2G rocketpods.

People will not magically start certing into AA in two weeks if they havent from the start. It is ineffective (for both satisfaction and certs/hour) and a lame way to spend your time playing, and anyone that says otherwise is obviously a pilot who has not even touched it.

Go ahead, slap on the trial for a dual burster MAX and record your half hour game play experience. Seriously doubt you would get more than 1 kill, if that.
