Physx to CPU?

Someone recently told me I could route my physx to my CPU rather than my GPU, and it would help get better framerate with higher graphics settings. I've never modded before though, and I forgot how he said to do it. Could anyone offer some help?

open Nvidia control panel, 3D settings tab on far left then click "Configure Surround,PhysX" and there will be a drop box you can set it to GPU or CPU.

Don't know who that person is, but sounds like he doesn't know much about this stuff..

Look.. your CPU has alot less calculation power than your GPU has, the Physx aren't being calculated through your GPU for no reason.. If you stress your CPU extra by having it calculate the PhysX as well, I highly doubt your FPS would increase..

It would rather be lower than higher I reckon. (Ofcourse it could be different if you have a 6-Core 3.2Ghz or higher, running with an Nvidia 1 series.. but that'd be crap anyway)

Edit: I see you have a Mobile GPU.. According to how the memory is being used by Mobile GPU's (Shared with your RAM, or allocated seperate Video RAM) your performance will be set..

Notebooks usually have a less powerful GPU compared to the same version of a desktop one..
In your case you could actually try to set the PhysX to your CPU, but only because it's an M line GPU on a notebook with a pretty decent CPU..
