Petition: Keep the Helios Server Name

I was once a former resident on the Genudine Server. You know, the one server the NC won EVERY contest back during that Ultimate Showdown a few months ago? Yeah, all of us got merged into Helios. Since then, many of us from Genudine have settle down, set up shop and made a lot of good friends with the crew on Helios.

But now we are going to be merged. With Connery! It really sucks to be moved.....AGAIN....and loose out on a good server name. I rather like the name 'Helios'. its futuristic-like sound to it. Since every time I hear 'Connery', my mind gets this image of a James Bond movie....

So, I would call on all my fellow Helios residents from all three empires to sign this petition asking SOE to keep the final server name as 'Helios' and not 'Connery'.

I already lost Jaeger to Waterson. Really hoping not to lose another awesomely named server to something plain and lame.

What does it matter what the server name is? Once you're past the login screen do you honestly think about the server name anymore?

Helios sounds better in general, and I don't really care about the matter.

Helios has more players than Connery, it only makes sense to have Helios as the final name of the two servers..

Connery is where the party is at. Best fights and players. We have agreed to take in the orphaned Helios players instead of leaving them to die from exposure, but surely no one in their right mind expect us to change our server name?

Perhaps a compromise: "Connery - the Helios Orphanage"

I fully agree with the original poster.

Helios has a very nice meaning, Helios was the son of the titan Hyperion.

On the other hand, when I hear "Connery", I always think to "connerie", which means in French "b*llsh*t".

Btw, I always liked how the NASA called its rockets from the Greek mythology, keeping the same spirit in PS2 would be more classy.

So, yes, please KEEP HELIOS.

Connery just seems to bland compared to Helios, and Helios does sound more in place with Planetside. Also Higby posted that it's Helios that is getting merged with Connery even though Connery has less people. If at all they should be merging with us.

You have to have achieved it for something so inconsequential and fundamentally meaningless to be your main life concern. To have nothing further up the chain of issues that could occupy your mind.

To have the only problem in my life being the name of a server that you login to an incomplete, unbalanced F2P game, please Master, teach me the secret.

And I can't just accept that you have empty heads, that would devalue the secret of being One With The Universe - being that you can only be truly happy if you approach the state of a true moron.
