People logging out and back in to avoid deaths...

    This can be done surprisingly fast, and it seems a bit unfair. There was a guy with 5.75 K/D and every time he was about to die he would just log out. Surely they should add a minor logout timer? The amount of people with crazy K/D's doing this is likely pretty high. I know that kill to death ratio should be irrelevant but when these people screw others out of kills just because of their obsession, something needs to be done. I am not trying to be a hater here, and I know this isn't the biggest issue ever... but a 10 second logout timer could make this sort of thing impossible. Hell even a 5 second timer would improve the situation greatly.

    No timer for the player, but his vehicle/body stays in the game for 20 seconds after disconnecting/quitting.

    5.75 is nothing. Pretty sure Daddy has like a 50:1 k/d.

    However, a brief (~30-60s) timer after you last dealt or received damage before being able to log out would be pretty cool. This would solve the problem of bailing out of ESFs (unless you have an Ejection Seat, in which case, grats, you're out 500 certs and some other useful utility).

    They took quite a few steps backwards with this game. Dark Age of Camelot requires you stay out of combat for a pretty extensive period of time before being able to log out, in addition to a 5-10-15-30-60 minute timer (it varies) on realm switching. This game has thrown out some pretty basic concepts from decade old games, for some reason.

    Daddy is the classic example of this.

    Should be a 10 second timer imo, If you really need to leave that quickly, you can ALT+F4 and let your toon sit there for 10 seconds.

    Eve online has a solution to this already, it's a 30 second timer that keeps your avatar in game and the timer is increased if its agressed.

    A timer sounds good. Also, vehicles stay in game for a little while after logging out.

    Yeah I watched the guy just poof right in front of me after I had finally bested him. The irony is he was killing tons of people in the vehicles he was pulling, but taking an actual death was simply unacceptable apparently. A 10 second timer, or anything similar... would stop this instantly. Especially if the person logging out is unable to do anything else, they just have to sit for 10 seconds or so. That way someone could not start the log and then keep running around to avoid being killed

    The true question is: why do you care what/how they are trying to bolster their k/d rates.
    That almost implies you think k/d means anything at all. Truly a very unhealthy attitude...

    I don't care about K/D. I care about people screwing others out of their kills because of their own misplaced obsession. This isn't cool and as people have pointed out... a logout timer is very common and has been around for a long time.

    Daddy has also has a surprisingly uncanny ability to spot infantry on the ground no matter if they're behind cover or outside scout radar range whether or not Daddy has it equipped. But you know what they say about Russian gamers...

    No. That is not how this works. It is people gaming the system to exploit it for their own obsession. We should not encourage this, and he did more than just disappear. He had killed many people already, I would have gotten a ton of XP for killing him. That alone is reason enough to implement a time delay for logging out. There are players like Daddy, who has a 43.08 ratio who actually macro this so they can do it even faster. It isn't right to let them exploit the game. You have no hope of arguing otherwise, please cut it out.

    Individuals (and their stats) mean absolutely nothing.

    By your own admission then loggers are hurting the team by abandoning the fight.

    Call it player vs player, or faction vs faction it doesn't matter, the point is that we are here to challenge ourselves against each other, not see how many people we can watch logging out.

    I'm pretty sure stat padding is against the rules, therefore a bannable offensive if i assume correctly.
