If you buy an USB Headset, then you have a sound card inside it.
And if you're using any other sort of digital transmission (like Toslink or Optical) you won't need one either.

The thing about the on-board vs. dedicated card is mainly the DAC (digital analoge converter) and additional features you might want to use.

Nothing wrong with your build but you do get what you pay for.

Do you want want years of gaming at decent performance?

If so maybe think paying more now for certain components will allow that.
A Z97 chipset motherboard with good onboard sound and maybe wifi. The wifi card may interfere with GPU cooling
An overclockable CPU. i7-4790k ideally but at least a i5-4690k. Overclocking may not be necessary now but will likely be in the future. Expect many console ported games. Some good, some bad. The i7 seems best able to handle them. Both games with up to 8 threads and those needing high single threaded performance.
16 GB memory (2 x 8GB) allowing space for future upgrade if needed.
Windows 7 home premium only allows up to 16GB. Maybe consider a better option.
Never cheap out on a power supply. It could result in fried components. Its happened to me in the past.

The GPU will be fine and you can upgrade when new ones come out.

Its your money & choice and the above is just my opinion.
