What a Joke watched I A couple matches and by the looks of some of the organisation it will be very interesting to see how many outfits will be a regular show to these broken battles and if they are able to keep up with Biggest outfits. Personally i think it shouldn't even be apart of the game and if they would just focus more on the ACTUAL game instead of making all these side itterations of something more competitive or Royals Planetaide twos potentail could really Shine...... A lot of work needs to be done on the main game, Stop Fannying around with all this other crap and get to it !!!

Do you have a (your) list of the work that needs to be done?
  3. Andy04

There is No MY list, Game has been Broke sine it launched, There is a back log of Bugs and bad design features functions and map designs that all need worked at, Do you not play the game ?

He was genuinely curious about your list. And your list is about the backlog of bugs, map designs en bad design features. Question is, which design features do you think are bad? Not everything players think are bad are actually bad. 0.75 ADS is a good example. Players thought it was everything and made weapons OP, then it was removed from a lot of weapons and practically nothing changed.

It’s great that the update brought back players, but to be honest I see zero incentives to be in Outfit Wars besides bragging rights.

If your to that level, you need a life or a job!

It's easier to complain than suggest improvements.
Participating in a 90-minute competitive event does not magically transform a person into a neckbeard basement-dweller.

yah, Desolation definitely needs help. I was in Connery's and there were a lot of issues, some show stopper bugs on the logistics side, but the biggest Problem was with how the "pacing" of it was set up.

But guess where the only place was that the Developers created an official Feedback thread for it? (which immediately got nuked with A TON OF BAD TAKES from 1v1 wannabe esports Adderall addicts and scriptkids)
Not here.... not on this official forum, nope on f***ing Reddit as usual while they also stick to only reading their Twitter DM's from the rest of the Gadflies that make up this incestuous Vanu-Crony-Council. (that was super-exposed recently when it was revealed just how many Connery, Cobalt, and Emerald Vanu mains were colluding with Recursion and other "Ringer" outfits across faction)

OP's kinda right, the game literally can't grow as long as the Developers are all trapped in an Elitist Echo Chamber that excludes more popular sentiments so there's no point in people like me (who were there in the final) or people who tried to do PTS'ing going through our detailed lists; if none of it's going to reach the Coders and Worldbuilders responsible for fixing these things.

Yes I do actually... that's why I'm taking this entire week off and not planning to qualify again. I've got to get back to training in 3Dcoat, Maya, photoshop, UnrealEngine, etc.... if I ever want a real indie career in actually making these things instead of just grinding fake currencies and complaining about the studios who currently make us jump through these pointless hoops.

Edit: I might make one exception, which is the layout of the Relic bases... but only if the more sincere posters here (they know who they are) requested that schematic/cross-section from me

Oh, there are tons of "my lists". They are all different.

On top of my list - just as an example - is "fix that wonky C4!" (It's the one thing that gets me close to rage-quits from time to time.)

And while it is ON TOP of MY LIST i am of the opinion that you won't find it in the majority of "my lists".

P.S.: I do play the game. A LOT!!

  9. blackboemmel

That's something the creators of humankind should fix asap.

outfit wars are there because people wanted them
  11. TRspy007

Pretty disappointing they cancelled Oshur for this :(

And the fact that there's back to back alerts due to ghostcapping incentives to be on the Outfit Wars board is really annoying, not to mention the dumping of war assets with no regard for strategy or teammates. Really, mentality has become: ghost-cap/zerg base, get kills no matter the cost, repeat, don't bother defending bases you don't own/let bases you don't own get capped so you can dump your 96+ dudes and steal the ressources a minute later, repeat.

We can argue some of these issues existed before, but the devs now encourage it, and hand out the tools for zergfits to zerg through continents.

What else can we expect though? Do you recall a single instance where the game had it's priorities straight?

    Very true.

However, people have been suggesting elaborate ideas, some people have actually submitted designs and run through detailed explanations of step by step solutions to major issues. Some people actually did the work, all that needed to be done was copy paste, and I'm sure some dedicated people would've even done that for the devs if they could.

People are/were passionate about the game, and a majority of people provided detailed feedback on how to improve it. The devs lack of presence in the forums and overall lack of involvement in the community though has given a clear message: complain, suggest ideas, we don't care, this is our game, we do what we want.

So I fully understand some people just complaining, because in the end 99% of the issues have been discussed and potentially solved by the community, everything on their mind has likely been stated, restated, and restated again in detailed explanations, in different languages even. Especially in this case, he's basically saying this is some way they salvaged Planetside Arena and dumped it in Planetside 2.

Does the sanctuary really seem like a necessary/meaningful addition? Basically the whole update just went against the definition of Planetside 2. He's asking to stop and focus on finishing the game they started, before venturing in "ZE ULTIMATE PLANETSIDE BATTLE ROYALE EXPERIENCE", and he's really not wrong. I don't think he needs to cite the past failures, the present drop of pop and ruined gameplay to prove the devs are just doing another stunt, beating around the bush adding more issues instead of fixing the key ones that prevent it from attracting and retaining population.

For years now, the devs haven't even bothered to go through these things. So yeah, its easy to complain, but complaining or resolving issues here gives the same results: nada.

Not everyone here has stupid ideas, and many people are passionate about the game and would gladly do the work if the devs gave them access. Problem is, since SOE, the community has basically been abandoned. There's no point in complaining, just like there's no point in trying to create discussions. Why do we still do it?

Im with TRspy here. Honestly, the biggest improvement this game could see is the vague notion that the devs actually read the forums set up to be the official place to feedback to them from the community that keeps the game alive. Directly or indirectly through a moderator. Its not like the forums are bogged down, it takes 30 mins a day to read every single post from that day...

Id be happy if we could see staff just pop a thumbs up on posts from time to time...
