Hi, For the past 6 months the outfit chat has been completely broken - it simply doesn't work. As one of the Outfit Leaders for one of the biggest outfits on the Miller server (Dignity of War), I'm asking you to take a look at it, because it makes it very hard for us to communicate as a community. Some observations that have arisen within our leadership is that, everytime the Miller server has been under maintenance, it works for approximately one day. One of my members have theorised that it's about too many people being connected to the chat, but are not disconnected when they log off. What I'm trying to say is, that we think maintenance forces every member to be disconnected from the outfit chat, so that when we get back on the server, the chat isn't overloaded and we can use it. Then when they log off, they aren't disconnected, and the amount of connected players keeps rising until it breaks. Whether or not that's the cause of the issue, it has to be dealt with. Currently we have to rely entirely on Discord for text-chat, which is hard to do. It'd be very much appreciated if you would take a look at the issue; I'm just trying to share my view on the matter. /HighOnMushrooms
Also supporting, issue has been effecting all outfits across all servers since Outfit Wars ended(Unsure if it's a related matter to Nexus and same faction fights). (Original forum post) Effecting both regiment growth and new player experience since Outfit chat was largely used as a tool to ask questions and get answers once one can no longer access the newbie chat.
Please, it's about time. We shouldn't rely on 3rd Party Channels (i.e. Discord) to be able to communicate.
We will be revisiting this issue as more resources become available. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone.
For some reason, /outfit say doesn't work or the actual chat option when you click it to type. But using /o does work.
I think this command is one word. Try /outfitsay [text] instead Thank you for acknowledging that the issue still persists, and after this much time has passed I hope it could be moved up in priority simply due to it effecting communities and outfits at large, reducing the amount of people who band together to play / organize or get the same scale of battles as they used to be.
