Mostly because it is all in YOUR head. It's called Confirmation Bias. Everytime you die to an Orion you discount the user's actual ability and solely blame the weapon.

I tried orion to see what the hype was about, went back to my anchor and gauss saw

Played a VS character for a bit recently for the first time since closed beta. Wow, the guns are EZmode and the Scythe is practically like moving a camera in a CAD program - almost no "physics" to the Scythe at all, unlike the Mossy and Leadsled. The Magrider is also stupid easy to aim, even when moving over bumps...

Low recoil, no bullet drop, and loleasy vehicle "physics" are not things that should have been "faction traits". Low and high RoF and lockdown (like really, "make me an easy target" mode in a game where mobility = life?) shouldn't have been faction traits either.

"My stat numbers are bigger, so I can't lose", makes for bad PvP. Now what folks are talking about here isn't the same as, say, World of Warcraft, where a level 40 mathematically can't kill a level 100 before the heat death of the universe, but the Orion/SVA-88 are proving to be over performing in a manner that is noticeable within PS2. It's worth consideration by the developers to adjust the values to maintain the balance.

Pretty much the best part about PS2 is that a level 1 player really DOES have the ability to take down a level 100 - we all have options, but they amount to Rock/Paper/Scissors rather than straight power upgrades (for the most part). It's very much worth working out the bumps to ensure that PS2's (mostly) level playing field is maintained. That's all people are asking when they say they want the Orion/SVA-88 looked into.

    This ussualy happen
VS HA pulls orion betelgeuse adadad slaghter everyone in capture pint since is adada when you gt killed his health is untouched
Shotguns are the only answers but then survive to the first shot then they go to 29 meters and kill you in 4 shots

Maybe stop being bad? On alt nights I really don't have a problem with the Orion/BG.
  6. Alox

He didnt list ns-15m because the real truth is that SVA88/Orion have no bullet drop and that is what makes them OP! :)
  7. Zombo

no it's not, the MSW-R is a better CQC LMG due to it's better Hipfire CoF, you don't even need to ADS with that thing...

it also gets the same dmg model, same RoF and better crontrollability

oh and one more thing: a heavy using his overshield is never moving at 0.75 ADS, so the shield AND the 0.75 ADS at the same time can't be the problem

    git gud
  8. Naphemil

why not take every faction specific weapon away, leave only one class that has a HA shield, and let us only use NS weapons!!! YEA!!!!! DIVERSITY!!!!!
  9. OldMaster80

The 0.75 nerf, if it will ever go live, will only fix those fights where VS HA move ADADADA while aiming and still manage to headshot the enemy.
Which is probably 5% of cases in total.

To all TR complainig I suggest to get the MSW-R, it's close to the Orion and it's very effective.

i personally love the guns NC has, if they only had a floating vodoo magic tank and the lancer, i'd surely switch factions, then again, i guess everyone would xD
  11. TheFlamingLemon

.75 ads isn't even hard to track on heavy assault, and the reason is that heavies who are fighting at close to medium range will be using their overshields, meaning they have a 25% speed reduction anyway. If you really feel like you need .75 ADS to succeed, switch to an SMG.
  12. Ryme Intrinseca

Orion has better default hipfire. MSW-R is slightly ahead if you fit an ALS and LS on Orion, but you won't always want to do that. So it's really a toss up.
It's a toss up again really, MSW-R has lower vertical recoil, Orion has lower horizontal.
Orion/SVA-88 heavy ADSing with shield on moves much faster than CARV/MSW-R heavy ADSing with shield on. So shield and ADS at same time can be the problem.
  13. Ohmlink

Is it possible for the people that make these types of threads to actually bring evidence that supports their claim?

I'm not against removing .75 ADS from LMGs by any means but you don't do your argument any favors by simply screaming something is OP.
  14. Zombo

Orion and SVA-88 got nerfed not to long ago, the Orion ans SVA have a completely random left/right horizontal shake which is way harder to control than the MSW-R, though the MSW-R has a bit less (MSW-R 0.225 horizontal, SVA and Orion 0.2 horizontal)

    Vertical recoil is MSW-R 0.35, Orion 0.4 and SVA-88 0.44

These are all just numbers, but from my personal experience i find the MSW-R was easier to control, which is why i never use the forward grip and always the ALS, which gives it a good (though not stellar) hipfire CoF, which is why it can easily rival the Orion from 5-10 meters in hipfire, and in medium range about 50 meters and more in controllability

also, why again is no one complaining about the anchor? it's absolutely wrecking both orion and MSW-R statistically, in both KPH and KPU in Q4 and BR100

this is just another "Nerf vanu" thread because they tend to win the most alerts and zerg more than TR and NC
  15. Plastikfrosch

perhaps because of the fact that you can beat them as Engy/LA while using (as NC) bandit, gd7f (carbines) or the totally not OP (only if named vanu lmgs are op) cyclone (smg).
There are extremely good ARs in this game that allow you to go head on with HAs especially while using the selfhealing, and dont forget about the cyclone.
As HA there are weapons like mswr and anchor, and dont forget the cyclone. And also i killed enough orion, betelgeuse, sva-HAs with the ns15m.
As infiltrator, sneak up and get them with any smg (not the hailstorm) and again especially the cyclone. and thanks to motionspotters and emps its not hard to take out HAs while playing infil.
So stop bragging for fu*** sake, the 0,75ads will be removed. Try to find something you can whine about in the future before its too late.

It never ceases to amaze me, how utterly brain-dead-edly retar*** the internet makes some people..... BASIC RESEARCH, FFS, PEOPLE!
  17. FieldMarshall

I mostly play carbines and never had any issues with 1v1 orions. And im not that good.
  18. 0fly0

Starting to be amazing the number of **** bad player true warrior can say here, between the one who say it's ******* easy to aim with magrider and the guy who tell you orion is the middle long range god machine.
At this point i'm not even going to bother explain why this is ******** because it's like explain why it's better to use a knife for cutting a steak instead of a spoon...
  19. Mxiter

TR lager mag size comes with a longer reload.

On VS side it looks like that 0.75 ads m.m come with improved hipfire.

    balanced? I don't think so.
  20. MarkAntony

GOAT IS BACK. now Stew360 the lord of NC needs to come back and we need one for VS!
