Orion -> NS-15M2. I could get used to this.

It's a little rough in CQC but everywhere else this thing is nice. NS-11C has probably helped prepare me for its recoil pattern somewhat so it wasn't quite as hard to get used to as my first NS primary. I still hate left pull patterns unfortunately, but I'm gonna deal with it.

Orion was always a little dodgy in my hands anyway, the horizontal tolerance got the best of me as I tried to use at too long of a range while firing too long w/out bursts too often. It definitely was good for the occasional shenanigans in 1vs1 at close range. However being able to engage at all other ranges more effectively while having the added survivability of .75 ADS is worth that TTK loss. HA can handle a TTK loss since they've got the shield, and since headshots are so valuable against other HA it's not too bad even vs. them as long as you're not within Cyclone happy land distance.

And the Flare, well, I still like 167dmg guns but it's among the worst of them IMO. NS-15M2 gives me a gun capable of roughly the same role with .75 ADS.

Anyway, wondering what more HA focused VS are switching to post Orion nerf. Or if they're sticking to their gun.

Personally I don't see any reason to use the other VS LMGs yet(I know changes aren't final). Post nerf Orion will still be alright I guess as well, but I'm becoming more and more keen on having .75 ADS as I've gotten used to using it. It just gives you... well you just feel like this sometimes:

    It hasn't been nerfed yet.

I personally use the Ursa though. I guess I just like "NC-Style" weapons with low RoF and high damage.

Something a lot of people forget is what SPA does to the TTK of the NS-15 vs the Orion.

At 0-10 M the Orion is better, but if you can keep them at that sweet spot from 10-15 M you actually have the same TTK.

At 15+ M you are back to being slower, but as you increase range, accuracy starts to trump DPS especially when it comes to chaining head shots.

So really, for anything remotely ranged you are better off with the NS-15. For up close, you have the Orion if you want or you can switch to the Eridani or Skorpios which are essentially mini Orions with 35 rounds and great TTK out to ~22 M. And while you do lose out on those extra 15 rounds, you reload almost twice as fast.
