Taking away .75 ads makes the Orion simply inferior to its NC and TR equivalent. I understand that the Orion is a great weapon, but people only rage about it because most Vanu Heavies use it. If you mainly die to it, then you might think it is op. Rather than taking away the .75 ads, reduce the mag size to 35-40 rounds. Reducing the mag size makes it a weaker weapon without making it worthless. (This of course applies to all Vanu LMGs with .75 ads) IMO, this should be the trait for using batteries rather than bullets. Vanu's trait should lightweight and low mag size.
I personally think almost all VS firearms should have a 0.75 ADS speed, except for Launchers and Sniper Rifles. I'd also remove first-shot multiplier and instead introduce a tiny spin-up time (0.1s?) during which the power core achieves full capacitance and after which it starts spitting plasma. Too much copy-paste in this game.
I never really used the Orion for that .75 ADS. What I used it mainly for was the fact it can be used at both long ranges AND close ranges without even having to be ADS. My biggest complaint on it is the 50 shot battery. Its effectively a glorified SMG thats only benefit is its extended range capabilities.
TR is the ROF faction NC is the damage faction VS is the "miscellaneous" and "easy to use weapons" faction .75 ADS falls under the VS category, and i think its a bad idea to remove it. Mainly because i feel like factions are becomming more blended, where everyone gets to have everything. They should be unique. Reduce its TR-like ROF instead and let them keep .75 ADS. Keeping its TR trait and removing its VS trait doesent really make sense. The tradeoff of having .75 would be a slightly slower TTK.
The 0.04 bloom / shot change is worth giving a chance, combined with the 0.40 -> 0.35 ADS CoF change and the horizontal recoil / tolerance changes, the Orion will actually be as accurate as the nerf threads claim it is. My main concerns are more that without 0.75x ADS the SVA-88 is now a pointless and arguably crappier Pulsar LSW clone. Also Cyclone heavy assaults are apparently A-OK, which seems odd (oh, and the Flare still getting no love).
Well,then it'd be a crappy Eridani. So this is pointless. They remove Orion's 0.75 ADS, i hope they give access to SPA or Adv. laser sight. IMO, the biggest loser of this nerf is the SVA-88, not the Orion...
