Opinions on Mattherson/Waterson Merge?

Goons would never do that.

They're more likely to all pull gals and ATTEMPT to crash them into enemies.

I'm all for a merge, Indarside side is getting boring. It's impossible to find a good decent sized fight on Esamir or Amerish any other time than an alert, even during peak hours.

But why do Waterson players hate us Mattherson players so much?

Mattherson is pretty much the best server, being beaten only by Connery by sheer population. Every other server doesn't even come close to what you get on it. Without my daily dosage of virulent homophobia, Ginyu Force, HairyBigFoot and QRY rocket spam I go crazy.The Vanu zergs are also filled to the brim with comedic potential!

Mattherson > All other servers, if only because we have Wisdomcube

Since I've said some not so complimentary things about Mattherson - I guess I'll take a shot at explaining this. I've played on many servers, and they're all somewhat different, but what makes Mattherson different is the intensity levels, which seems to get to unhealthy levels. The only other server that I've seen this is a bit on Miller, but even then, it still doesn't compare.

Mattherson had TE, they have the EVE players that from what people say are not the most pleasant bunch, there's generally more TKing that goes on, and so on. Some people might not mind all that, but for many that just want to have some good fun, they're not looking for all that extra griefing, hacking, smack talking, etc. Things may have gotten better in the past months since TE left, but you can't completely wipe away the history of the server, and people that have been conditioned by the past are still presently playing today.

I've repaired hundreds and thousands of broken turrets - but only on Mattherson have I ever been killed by a friendly on purpose for it - cause its "theirs" and I'm stealing their XP. No - I didn't even need to ask, they said it over proxy chat after shooting me in the back.

I've seen various Mattherson players talk down about other servers here on the forums, and made theirs sound to be the absolute best in PS2 - most competitive, best outfits, best players, etc. Seems like a lot of boasting and tooting one's own horn to me. I've even seen people that I generally respect, say and talk down about other servers and players from other servers sadly.

It isn't that everyone on Mattherson is bad though, but looking from the outside, there's plenty of reasons why people have their reservations.

I'd be all for it if they ever get around to fixing the performance issues the last several patches have created. Maphtersin already has fights with 20+ people, and that's just too much for the game to handle any more.

It would be totally unfair to Waterson. Matherson NC is incompetent and Matherson TR is spineless.

I hate to break it to you hombre but the only US outfits left in Comm Clash are from Mattherson.

Just saying scrubbernaut, not only do we say that we have the best we actually have proven that we have the best. What has your server accomplished besides getting profusely owned?

While you guys are all tied up trying to prove yourselves when no one else cares - other people are just having fun in the game. That's what the other servers accomplish - they provide a friendly and fun place to enjoy the game, for those people who have no self esteem issues.

Mattherson is indeed special... its definitely got such a nasty holier than thou attitude in spades!

You say this like the other servers are any better. Do you actually play the game or do you just sit around making insulting comments on the forums all day?

I believe it would be better to merge when Hossin and the Battle islands are introduced, therefore there would generally be a fight Everywhere relatively speaking.

I don't feel that the US servers need merging.

I'd like it only for the chance to kill Mustarde..... I'd fail terribly but failing is half the fun
