On a weekday morning, during the summer holidays when gamers are usually dragged from thier dens and put at the mercy of The Sun. I wouldnt call it unusual at all.
It is the nature of the beast. Persistent battlefield. I played TSW MMORPG (The Secret World) for a long while and it had a persistent battlefield called Fusang. It has 3 factions as well and the same type of problems. As of now there are a lot more Euros playing than I remember and timezone issues are always a factor in persistent battlefields. However you can do the PvE grind in the meantime. PS2 has nothing else to pass the time in these situations. What do you suggest as a solution?
>10:45 AM >weed day >after maintenance. This is still considered off-time. A lot of people are at work. The only reason we'd have decent pop is if some kids were no-lifing it during summer rather than doing normal person things like going out into the sun or... hanging around people. Sounds horrible, I know. :s
Actually, in 2013, population increased during July and August and massively dropped during September. The same thing seems to be happening now.
Oh yeah, just waiting until the evening for TR and NC to avoid the VS zergs again. That just means all the kids who played during the summer went back to studying.
The server was off for maintenance and just got turned back on. It will take a while for people to see the server is back on and the population to go back to normal
Still, its not primetime on Emerald. So its not unusual to see that the regulars are doing something else.
First, only morons measure time in Standard Time during the summer months. Learn 2 Spring Ahead. (Said mostly in jest. People saying EST instead of EDT, when inaccurate, is a pet peeve of mine). Second, the pops are fine and battles aplenty between 5 pm and 5 am EDT, and that's all that really matters.
An alien invasion. A fourth faction, mechanical alien race AI controlled. When most players are offline they slowly ghost cap everywhere.
Oh wow, for the first time on the history of the server (Mattherson included), the VS are underpopped?! Oh the horror! You might finally see how terrible it is. Welcome to TR's reality for the past 2 years.
http://borderlinetactical.net/rsnc/world-population/?world_id=17&zoom=3 If only there were some kind of chart and/or graph that you could use to look at the pops and see that at the time this was posted there were barely a few hundred people on the server.
I would be down for something of this nature. Maybe a random spawning world boss that destroys everything in its path...slowly. Only when pop is at a certain level. However if he is engaged and that pop level increases, he must be defeated. He knows no prejudice. I love open world pvp with world bosses that drop awesome loot. Good times, good times...if your the dominate guild that is!
