the inf is the most useless class in this game.
it is useless to your team, useless at a dmg dealer, usefull as kdr grinder(uselsss)
and you get to run around being invisible get on top of hills using airplanes etc...

what im suggesting: make it a 250 nanites per use, cant fly, cant be called with a spawn beacon
the decloack takes 5 secounds(so he wont be able to declock and outdamage anything)
make scopes that can clearly see him to 250 meters
    make him slower

i want this class to be so bad that new players will quit using it completely as it takes their nanites from the important team play to egoistic troll wanna be gameplay

this is getting on my nerves - im getting out of the warpgate dmg my vehicle abit go repair(the enemy flank is 2k away) i get sniped... wtf is wrong with people?

this is the solo egostic cancer of this game because it encourages you to get high kdr and not give a F about your team squad etc...
yes it can be useful but do you think that it will make players play any other class if you can run around with fully automatic smg assault rifle etc and be invisible?
nope they will love the class and divide the teamplay even more

i cant express enough how i hate this class because it has no counter but a ****tly little flashlight that can make them semi visible to the point of why do i even have this?

the stalker - nerf the f out of it to be running cloack even sitting down

this class has gone enough and need serious nerfing in order to make people understand that this is just a regular class with nothing special in teamplay

if not nerf then restrict it to br100+ only
make its cloack worse by alot or give him a shadow so we could actually see his traces(illogical not to see a shadow in soooo many ways what does he have an led set on him to clear the shadows?)

He stopped your tank from hurting his allies, so how is that worthless? Annoying? Hell ******* hell yes it is. Worthless? far from it.

I actually think the game would be better without snipers, so I'm not an infil lover by any means, but good infils are effective in securing wins for their faction, you have to admit.

    1. Don't stand still when you repair. In fact, never stand still regardless of what you're doing.

    2. Infiltrators are not invisible, they're cloaked.

    3. Their role is recon, taking out key targets, or causing disruption. When they're not needed for that, they're good at taking out easy/unaware targets, which is what makes them cancerous to some.

Hate to break it to you, but the reason most people take infiltrator isnt to stat pad, its to provide radar and motion detection to their team by way of motion detectors or recon darts. The fact that theyre also extremely potent with an SMG is a bonus.
Snipers are snipers, without a cloak suit theyd still kill you while you repair, and itd still be from 300m away.

See all those pings on the radar at any fight, or those spotters (need to be zoomed in on radar to see them)? Theyre provided by infiltrators, no1 else can provide those.
Well actualy im lying, everyone can put a detect bolt in their crossbow, but it lasts a fraction of the time and has less radius than infil darts, far less useful than a secondary weapon that deals damage.

As some1 who hates the motion spotters (seriously theyre frikin everywhere) i will often pull an infiltrator to counter them with EMP grenades, just wish it didnt cost me 75 nanites to counter what they get out of an ammo pack for free......
Then theres of course EMPing enemies to remove shields as your friendly forces enter a point room, or indeed EMPing an attacking squad if youre defending.

In short, infils are extremely valuable to your team, either as providers of accurate radar, or as EMPing shield removers.

1.dont stand still - like you can run from 15 hilltop snipers
2.they are not invisible? try to play at a huge battle with 15 fps at max setting lower then to bare minimum then try to say then are not invisible(cant be seen from 10 meters)
3.their role is recon - yep that is their role but they dont care
they shoot everywhere they dont give a F
they make teamplay worthless for them so even if we have cloacked sundy they instashoot from that location and thats the end of that sundy
  6. typnct

    valuable? yes
useful? nope most of them run around get their kd to a higher rate or stand on a hill for 5 minutes to get 3 kills
and not give a F about your team and their needs
aw you need a sundy? nope im an inf
aw you need medics? nope im a sniper
ah you need more people on point? nope ill snipe them from here 500 meters away from the objective in perfectly safe spot
aw you need to cap that point? nope im not getting in there i might get soptted and die

besides the cancer of the stalker comes from the server side - you die before you even see them decloack -what i mean by that is that you didnt even get to see him or a chance to fire back and you are already dead? why server sided game
ah you noticed 2 hits? nope it was 10 and you are already dead for 500 400 ms and you didnt know it

A simple way to fix snipers would be to make sniper rifles disable their cloak.
They couldn't just hide on a hill, almost risk free and wait for an easy kill to come along that way.
DBG seem to be more interested in undermining squad play and making things easier for lone wolf stat padders with implants like ammo printer, regen and such. Also the Daimyo...pffft.
I'm just waiting for them to bring out a sniper rifle with a head shot, lock on mechanic or a new cloak that lets you fire whilst cloaked.

    mad cuz bad

Seriously, infiltrators have countless useful aspects, the most notable being recon, but others have pointed that out before me already.

Infils can not only provide recon, they can hack vehicle terminals, pull a sundy and a whole squad can be on a base they wouldn't normally be able to get to.

They can hack turrets and hit zergs in the rear as they leave a base. They can flip points to cause distractions. They're a VERY useful class.

I think one of the mistakes a lot make is they think all infiltrators are snipers. I play infil quite a lot but I rarely snipe. I'm usually in the thick of the battle with my crossbow or SMG.

TBH one of the reasons I adopted infil quite early in my PS2 life is I was (and still am) sick of getting spammed from the air by farmers, it was one of the few ways I could actually leave a spawn room without getting killed by a flying shotgun or laser pewpew gun.

    1. No but you can take cover. You'd need to be in the middle of an open field to be in full view of 15 hilltop snipers. Don't be way out in the open, snipers literally exist to discourage being way out in the open.

    2. That's a hardware issue, not a balance one. Lower your settings all the way and put render quality to 50% (you can keep textures on high though).

    3. You can't read people's minds. You don't know the exact intentions and motives of strangers on the internet. For example, I often think the same about Heavy Assaults when I'm frustrated: "they don't care about pushing/defending the point, they just want to farm kills and make their stats look good". But it's just that: I'm frustrated and I falsely put the blame on the players that kill me in a way that makes me feel powerless. (Granted, there is an actual balance issue there, but that's for another time)

And Infiltrators are in fact valuable to teamplay. Awareness is among the most powerful things in a PvP game, and recon tools provide that. Hacking terminals can also be very useful to squad play, as mentioned.

Aside from being annoying and making everyone do a stupid dance any time they stop to repair or revive, snipers are mostly useless. I'd actually love that change. That's their penalty for a OHK rifle.
  12. Atorum

I dont know who you are typnct but I like how you think.
I think they should reduce their speed while stealthed (also remove adrenaline pump and 1 shot knife), receive a lot more damage while stealthed and make sensor darts only give information to them as currently motion trackers are class A cancer in the game.
I dont mind the snipers, I hate the SMG and Commissar ****.
Still remember when one VS *** whined how I chased him with a flashlight and killed him after I heard him cloak ,he said it wasnt fair and I was a noob for using the flashlight to find him, ******* hypocritical idiots in this game.
  13. FateJH

They just keep choosing bad spots to repair their vehicles is all.
You know how to counter Infiltrator? The same way you counter an Engineer, a Medic, or a Heavy Assault.
You shoot him. With a rifle.
You keep doing this until he stops moving and stops glowing.

Well I've played a lot of infiltrator,. mostly because it's second only to HA in easy mode terms. In the early days that was a lot of camping on mountains far away from the battle and just taking out anyone who had tha audacity to stand still for 200ms. I pretty much never do that now as I think it spoils the game overall. I play Inf with a weapon like the Ghost so I at least feel like I earned any kills I get.

I would say make Nanoweave prevent an instagib with a bolt action when shooter is more than say 75M(?) away. That would introduce some risk-reward into the equation. The target would survive but would have a sliver of health left. Modify the cloaks for different play styles, stalker cloak wouldn't allow a sidearm but be the least visible - currently some sidearms are more or less mini-smgs!. Hunter cloak would be as is but allow you to stay cloaked a bit longer. Nano-armour cloak would be a bit more visible but soak up a bit more damage and be more suitable for Infs getting in close with SMGs.

yeah sure just a secound let me get my xenon darklight flashlight that fits in my pocket to shoot an inflirtator for up the hill while he is invisible and trace myself into a bullet that travels trough my head at mach 2 with an ohk potential with all the risk in the world while he will get what spotted for 2 sec clock decloack and get2 3 hits from our team?

    suuuure..........
  17. That_One_Kane_Guy

What an amazingly ignoran- interesting thread. Let's try to equal these stupi- stupendous suggestions:
    1. Air cannot shoot ground
    2. Ground cannot shoot air
    3. Shotguns actually do negative damage and have a range of 6 inches
    4. Heavy overshield cannot be used outside of your Warpgate
    5. Everyone is restricted to candy cannons only
    6. Buff harassers just one more time

By the by, if a poster wants to be taken seriously instead of having the reader assume that he is in fact a frothing-mouthed, ranting lunatic; one might edit one's post so as to not resemble a 5th grader's B- paper. Indeed, the use of such novel concepts as "punctuation" and "capitalization" would perhaps make even ******* ideas like this one at least look professional and thought-out.

You've obviously never played infiltrator like I do. First off, you can't even shoot your gun while cloaked, you have to come out of cloak. Secondly, I spend 99% of my time out of cloak. Only time I cloak is when I'm lining up to shoot and immediately after to keep from being killed. That's it. My gun isn't OP at all. If I take on a heavy, or any other class for that matter, and don't get a headshot when shooting from the hip or distance, then I'm dead.

Since this is so impossible, explain to me how so many players can track me by the bullet and either kill me or snipe. The 'hit box' for a headshot is rather small-esp when sniping-so it's, by far, not the easist thing to do.

However, with that said, I'd prefer to be on my medic full time now. I've gotten bored with sniping. Once my SAS-R is Auroxied then I'm off it for good.
