Ok sticky grenades... Are we sure there aren't any exploits?

    You may have seen in earlier thread regarding sticky grenades. i asked whether there is an exploit or bleed damage concerning sticky grenades especially against spawn room shields. Are we absolutely sure that there isn't one or experienced it themselves?


    i ask again namely because i've just logged off from a biodome defense as an engineer and i was lobbing them at the spawn room that attackers would approach from andvarri barracks. Soon enough i got my first few kills with sticky grenades and then i was accused of being a exploiter.

    It was glorious for someone accuse me of exploiting a hack when i wasn't. brings a smirk to my face.

    But it has got me thinking. its happened to be me before (strange sticky grenade kills despite being in spawn room) and i can't verify whether something strange happened because i usually bolt for it when i've lobbed it. So is there some sort of exploit for sticky grenades any experience with strange sticky greandes kills?

    Its probably the reason why i purchased them in the first place.

    I tossed a sticky grenade on a max earlier, he ran back into a biodome spawn room and smoked three dudes.


    Was called an exploiter and the guy who accused me of exploiting did a /yell for everyone to report me. Sticky grenades have had a history of causing grief :)

    if the grenade sticks to people and they walk back into the spawn room its not a bug or exploit. what people want is the sheild to remove the grenade from them - THAT would be an exploit to avoid death. - the grenade is working as intended to stick to people and objects.

    Sticky grenades have no exploits or glitches, only features.

    LOTS, and LOTS of features.

    There is nothing wrong with th Sticky Grenades. They are perfectly fine. :cool:

    yeah the problem lies with lemmings that don't get that the grenade is stuck to them and that it's not a good idea to run into a spawnroom.

    I bet if this game had flamethrowers to damage people with a fire DoT the lemmings would run away in the opposite direction of the medic trying to heal them.

    Imagine that you are inside of the spawn room and out of nowhere you die - several times in a row, by nades that are sticked to floors and walls. Thanks to the players who exploit nades into spawn rooms 24/7 legit kills are less probable than exploiting, so it is no surprise that people assume that you are exploiting.

    Too op should remove from the game LOL. 100 kills on a weekend just with sticky grenade alone...

    If you throw a sticky nade and then throw a sticky nade exactly at the sticky nade you've just thrown... do the sticky nades stick together?

    The only thing I would change with sticky nades is to have some sort of indicator that you've been stuck. Otherwise, leave em as is. I love the damn things... I rack up so many multi kills with stickies. Glorious.

    All grenades (not just stickies) can be glitched through spawn room shields, biolab dome shields and also those yellow shields in places like Subteranean. If you get killed once by a sticky nade in a spawn room, maybe someone got a lucky sticky on someone that then stupidly ran back inside. When everyone is pinned inside a spawn room, and you're getting killed every 30s by a sticky, or AV or frag grenade, it means someone is exploiting the glitch.

    People exploit the shield with sticky cause they can always yell, hey i stuck it to someone outside (yet everyone saw them run up to the shield). Now if you get frag grenaded inside spawn then you know they exploited the shield. I got "One man platoon" with just 3 stickies couple days ago at biolab, so much whining but maxes kept being stupid and standing in shield door.

    You can also knife through the shield. And a first last night, my max was almost dead a sliver of health. Seems an enemy max notice, charge to the spawn, briefly flashed inside as he max punched me inside the spawn shield. Had to laugh at the innovativeness but he quickly died as everyone unloaded on him. I haven't seen NC max charge, shotgun used or succeed yet on the shield exploit

    This. Quite a few times in a Biolab I've seen some guys repeatedly lobbinh stickies in the back of the spawnroom, over and over again. Not sticking it on anybody. Straight exploit. And when confronted about, the exploiters said that if it was possible, it's DBG fault and thus, legit to use.
