I recently found out about it and it seems to be the best nvidia card...so...I was just wondering if anyone has it yet?
Not really made for gaming. I mean yes, it can game like a champ, no stopping it. But the card is made for people who make games or deal with seriously graphic heavy programs. People who construct visual physics models and stuff like that. Gaming monsters are down in the 700 series. If you aren't helping with the CGI in the next Iron Man movie, you wont have a need for a Titan.
Actually...It IS for gaming thats why it is in the GForce family. For workstations you buy Nvida Quadros (Quadro K6000 for example). Yes the best cpu might not fully stress the card to its full potential atm but its future proof It is also way overpriced but if you want the best of the best. Why not. At least i am never geting GPU bound in PS2.
It's the best if you only have space for a single 3-slot card inside your case. However, if you have 4 slots available, you could get two GTX 780 Ti and run them in SLI, they would outperform the Titan Z, not to mention it would only cost you half as much. In case you didn't know, the Titan Z is a card with two GK110-B1 GPU's, so basically it's GTX 780 Ti SLI on a single card. Except it's not, because those GPU's have been downclocked approximately 19% so it instead performs like regular GTX 780 SLI. TL;DR: Don't buy the Titan Z unless you really know exactly why you need that specific card. You'd be better off getting two GTX 780 Ti and run them in SLI. If you're desperate for that 6GB of memory (you 99.9% don't need it), you'd still be better off running two Titan Black in SLI than a Titan Z (and that's still cheaper as well). However, if I were you I'd wait until Sept/Oct and see how the new GTX 880 performs.
No point for planetside, I upgraded from a gtx660ti to 780 ti. Ultra is a tad smoother with less spikes. There is still some lag with supersampling enabled=37fps avg
Also, I'd like to add a notion about SLI (which this card uses): I have a single GTX 780, my friend has two GTX 680 running in SLI, otherwise our hardware setup is pretty much identical (same CPU etc.) GTX 680 SLI should outperform a single GTX 780, yet I get higher FPS in fights most of the time, so I'm not sure PS2 is using SLI properly.
