Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up that there were new Nvidia Beta Drivers released, i haven't tested them yet as I'm still downloading them but if anyone else gets them maybe for once we can have a consolidated thread on any possible improvements over previous versions. Anyway, they are avaliable at linkage. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-uk Also please note for those of you with Nvidia GeForce 6 or 7 series (thats 6### and 7###). The 310.xx series of drivers are not supported. Here is a quote from the release notes. Basicly the 304.## drivers are your latest drivers.
Here is a link for the drivers for mobile users as it won't show up when normally trying to update. http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-310.70-driver.html
If it is then it doesn't have a WHQL certificate and it only shows up under the beta driver part of the Nvidia website. I personally don't use the updater. For WHQL releases the last one was the 306.97.
No problems here with 310.70 drivers so far - gtx 680, and no noticeable performance gains/losses compared to 310.64.
I updated tot he driver this morning and it seems to have completely fixed the stuttering issue I was having with the 306.97 driver. I only have had the card for a day, so well there is that. Does anyone have any suggestions for leveling out the fps (I am all over btwn 22 and 90) and or increasing the fps in the large combat zones?
heh still no changes on planet side 2 NVIDIA 3D Vision – Adds or updates the following 3D Vision profiles: Planetside 2 - rated Not Recommended i dont think something will change ...
It seems that the 310.xx drivers are doing well for us. I've been using the 310.61 for a couple weeks without any notable issues. I may just stick to the .61s for awhile.
This driver release was only for getting performance up to speed for FarCry 3. I doubt any drivers will improve performance until the game is better optimized.
