NSO Heavy Weapon Ideas

    The NSO only has the thumper which any faction can use but is lacking its own unique heavy weapon. I have a few good idea's. If anyone has anymore to add maybe we can get enough for a directive. Always nice to have incentives to populate the lower factions with cool things.

    Flamethrower: Wield the hot flames in a cone like blaze. Its about the range of a shot gun but boy does it melt enemies fast and in aoe. We can either have it normal flame color, or faction based... or even white flames for nso. Added piece: can turn flamethrower into a fire launcher that gives it range but loses out on its destructive close range. Would be cool to see.

    Railgun: Inspired from the Halo franchise rail gun, you would charge up a bullet (sorta like Yumi) and do damage that would one shot anyone except MAX's and vehicles. Added adjustment to cause MAX's and vehicles to be temporarily disabled / extra damage to them.

    Lightning Rod: Shoot pure lightning out of this gun, it chains to enemies close by as a weapon that is constantly channeled, so short bursts not recommended. Close to mid range gun.

    Bio-Blaster: Shoots blobs of poison slowly (with like 3 per reload), deals moderate damage, and damage over time. Splash damage, can infect others very close with the damage over time.

    Crossbow: Shoots electric arrows that cause an emp effect, can toggle between emp and normal arrows. Normal arrows do heavy damage to targets without a shield. Does almost nothing to vehicles (except the emp arrow).
    Or just an arrow that does great damage *shrug*

    What do you guys think, what would you add? With 5 there can be a possible directive weapon.

    give them access to the heavy weapons of all three factions and nothing needs to be invented.

    A better idea. Why dont the devs stop wasting their time on the gimmick faction and go back to working on the real factions.

    That said, if we are going to include concepts for the NSO, it should be done through making them a support faction that can supplement their already existing faction. For that reason, I think they should have more fire support options and maybe even options for indirect fire capabilities. In the case of Heavy assaults this may mean something akin to a morter weapon, or maybe a beam laser style AT weapon. Just as possible they could be given a EMP emitter weapon that projects a beam that disrupts shields, breaks equipment, and can even disable vehicles and MAX suits "Temporarily" if held on them long enough.
