Notable NC Outfits on Waterson?

I'd like to thank those of you who said nice things about PHX, and as Ghosty11 said check us out. Phoenix Battalion tries to focus on always getting better, and it's good to see that others have noticed the job we do. As Arc said, we try to emphasize training as well, with basic training, assault squad training, and squad leader training. It's important that not only do your members know what to do but also your squad leaders know how to lead and do it in a way that helps the squad be as successful as possible. When you lay out for your members "this is how you operate, this is how your squad leader will lead, and this is what to do in these situations" everyone becomes much more efficient. While training isn't always the most exciting thing, it's effect on the outfits efficiency is quite noticeable.

As far as command channel, even though we don't always talk on it a lot (sometimes it's better not to clog it up) our members are required to get it to become Sergeant, and our platoon leaders are always listening. And while we may not always call it out (We believe it's been spied on during the Jaeger times so we're cautious) if we're on a the continent being discussed we'll often act accordingly. Or if you call out for help on a continent we'll move over if need be. We will keep NC command updated on our situation when we see it being organized but if there's not a lot of coordination going on, or on our specific continent we try to keep the comms clear, it's hard enough with outfit chat, squad chat, platoon chat and TS3 going, don't need to add more to it :).

Recently I have seen command being used to organize more though and it's nice. Phoenix is always listening and always willing to work with everyone. And to Mac and DigiRev, it's been a pleasure working with you guys recently, I look forward to more of it.

As a TR Notable "Hate" because they give me and my crew a hard time, EZC, PHX, DVS, DREV. You all should die horribly... actually die slowly in the quicksands of Indar, I would be happy to stand right on top of you all while you all sink to the ground!

Without hatred there is no love, true respect to my enemy's in battle.

"Eye for an eye ... and all Waterson NC end up blind."

This is a perception brought on by the Alert events in conjunction with having been TKed, correct?

At this point, I want to Public Service Announcement (PSA) and it isn't meant directly at you Spartan, its meant for any NC to think of in their game play, this is just general musings:

TKing because you think someone else is making a dumb tactical move instead of using proximity, say, yell, command, or tell to have a dialogue about why they are using this or that tactic is still TKing.

Revenge TKing is still TKing - that person you think you are getting payback on may not have intended to hurt an ally, Friendly Fire was turned on by the Developers and yet how often do you see things that help prevent friendly fire in the game? Things like tracers and laser targeting to see someone's line of fire, peripheral vision ally fire indicators, a non-cluttered minimap, voice commands that are quicker to use than pulling the trigger, and bodies that are solid so you don't pass through them and into their line of fire? How about training, how many players really understand how to not step into friendly lines of fire or exercise fire discipline - where is the shoot house that Outfits can tweak for their specific training goals to train in? And there are 1 hit kill weapons, that shot may have already left the weapon and is traveling to its intended Purple or Red target, only to be intercepted by your chosen path, the weapon operator probably had no intention to hit you because you weren't even on display yet, let alone your path in the target area.

Given what we have to play with, really, if you want to be the better faction, one very big factor is just do everything you can to not TK, which especially includes not revenge TKing. This isn't a case of not standing up for yourself, just report the griefer, yell something to slight their reputation as a team player so they don't get to enjoy the same camaraderie that you get in an Outfit and move on, because if you act in a civil manner, your example will spread. Just be the more mature gamer who is working through their gamer rage in a healthy manner - save that aggression for coming up with creative ways to put the enemy factions down instead.

Sure, its annoying when people do it intentionally, the griefer who derives entertainment by ******** on an ally's parade, but rise above it, keep calm and carry on - think of it as strategic game play, the faction that fights less with itself has more time to fight the other factions.

    /end TK & FF rant

Now, on to notable Waterson NC Outfits that I have had the joy of playing beside in the my own Outfit, the NCSO:
    UN1T
    H4TZ
    PHX
    EZC

... are ones that immediately come to mind. I hope you find the entertaining time you are looking for fellow NC and that I get a chance to drop you some ammo, make a few repairs, and give you a ride to the fight. :)

Spartan, you could browse the Outfit Recruitment section of these forums to find threads on some of the NC outfits.

There's EZC (Easy Company) if you want to redeploy to the warpgate and do gal drops every 10 minutes. LOL.

I usually run with a small squad of experienced players who just want to have fun. We might corrdinate but usually we just fight in places on the fringe of the zerg or against another small squad doing what we are doing(capping territories around).

Overall I do miss the days on Jaeger when NC was smaller and more corrdinated a faction much like the way VS is now on Waterson.

Honestly right now I feel NC as become the destination of the 4th faction and this is a result of that. We are now seen as the OP faction and thus get what comes with that which is more bickering since there is new blood coming in messing with the order of things.

I am from H4TZ and I want to bring up a point that I have seen in the last few days since the Alerts started. The last 2 Alerts I have been in and leading a H4TZ platoon at the time for both. At the start Work from DVS figured out what outfits and the amount of people we had in the area and started calling out bases that needed attacking. I was helping decide when and where to send groups. During both of these events DVS, PHX, H4TZ, DREV, and I few others that I cant remember worked well together and didn't fight each other. Had some problems with people hogging Command Chat but overall I am of the mindset that the NC Outfits on Waterson are starting to work better and better together.

I for one look forward to the next Alert where there are leaders on Command Chat. I have seen Alerts without leaders and I have seen them with. Though we all have our differences in plans and playstyles, I have seen 300-400 NC players band together from dozens of outfits to attack or defend the same objective. The longer that we have Alerts the more I think that the NC will become more organized.

I am glad to be NC and on Waterson. I look forward to helping the NC cause.

PHX and WRNC, both good groups IMO and I have run a lot with them back on Jaeger and for a bit post merger before I swapped to TR. Good groups and from what I gathered they are pretty organized when on an operational deployment.

I am sure other outfits mentioned are great as well but I do not have personal experience with them. Well there is EZC, they are a fun group too.
  9. Czuuk

My favorite is when somebody comes into a full made platoon and starts tossing orders around like they made teh platoon with their own bare hands. In over 900 hours.
  10. Mythicrose12

Just to add on to what Vix has stated, join Vanu anyway. If you're intent on being NC, I will be forced to bring you enlightenment. :D
  11. Alarox

I see a lot of smaller outfits on Waterson, the type with 2-3 squads max.

I wish to help with this.
  13. Tsume

Honestly from what I have seen from the TR side of things PHX has been quite organized. I can say nothing about their cohesion with other NC though.

TR is a strange cluster in my opinion. We have a few organized outfits that actually want to use tactics, strategy and focus... and then we have the large giant outfits that exist more for an outfit tag that just go around like a swarm.

    Edit:
I mean nothing against other NC outfits, but from those I have fought against, PHX stands out. The only one that stands out to me in a negative sense is honestly DVS
  14. X3Killjaeden

You are not alone... On Cobalt, once alerts are starting it's usually not NC whinning because they do stupid things, like trying to wedge themself right in between VS and TR frontlines... or getting WGed because of Crown
VS 48% territory is no rarity, and that with no pop advantage at all... *sigh* I hate you, purple freaks =P

  16. DashRendar

Haha, BB is a great troll and his stream is a lot of fun. His actions caused him to lose Platoon Lead privileges in DVS though. He is still with us because he helps the outfit in other ways.
  17. Shanther

    Kek
  18. Kylesal18

That's why I haven't seen any of his platoons in awhile. Just wondering, how many PL privileged people do you have? I seem to only find 2-3 on Leader chat.

  19. Saintlycow

Check out NCSO or UN1T. Those are the guys off the top of my head who give us real problems.

Sure DVS and DREV are big and appealing, and have some skilled players, but when they win, it tends to be more a numbers game instead of tactics and skills that come from NCSO and UN1T.

Of course, join the vanu, we have cookies. And really good outfits. Anyone in the Vanu Alliance would gladly welcome a strategic and tactical player. Waterson Vanu is all about the coordination, it's how we survive the waves
  20. EViLMinD

I'm much more of small ops leader in DVS, and we do very well. Not all of us zerg, folks.

DashRendar, I've overheard DVS members mention BlackBird but I don't know the story. If the guy is griefing random blues then WTF is he still in the outfit? That's not cool.
