New Weapon Cert Prices are an insult.

25 is for sub + chargers, they do make difference. You cant sustain 3-4 tier implants all the time without buying chargers.
25 for first month+100 for few decent guns is not too shabby for basically beta version with incomplete metagame.

Love the new prices, makes my massive weapon collection seem more valuable :p

    This is a shameless moneygrab.
I used to monthly purchase something with RL cash just to support a game I liked, even though I didn't agree with the pricing models before that, but this **** is too much. I'm done. You're not seeing any of my money for any of your **** ever again.

TL;DR 1500 free certs pretty much worthless due to price increase, lock-on launchers too expensive, non-NC bolt action rifles too expensive. Creates bad impressions for new players, worse impressions for people already BR 20-30.

Biggest issue I've seen is the anti-air lock-on launcher pricing. It's an essential piece of kit to any new player because sniping ESFs with a dumb-fire launcher or a phoenix isn't exactly easy, especially for people who don't understand ESF pilot behaviour.

The fact it's 650 certs is mind-boggling. No new player is going to hold on to 650 certs long enough to pick up a weapon they aren't going to get many kills with. 250 certs was fine. If anything, this patch just buffed the air game.

Another issue for new players is the bolt action rifle pricing. To get a bolt action rifle, it's now 325 certs - 225 above what it was before - and another 100 for a straight-pull. People already complained about the fact you had to buy a bolty, now that's a 325 cert hole in your pocket (minimum, that doesn't even include getting a straight-pull or high magnification optics) as a newbie just cause you wanna snipe.

As much as the 1500 cert gain BRs 1-15 get was needed, the price increases just completely nullified it. They needed it BECAUSE the prices on essential kit were really expensive. Increasing the prices further is 1 step forward 2 steps back, because not only do they dump all of their 1500 certs on kit they should've had access to easily anyway, but if they wanna buy anything for certs in the future, they have to save up a lot.

You don't need to buy chargers. I run tier 3 and 4 implants just fine without buying chargers. When you subscribe your implant drop rate increases substantially, and then you don't buy chargers at all, you convert chargers using the nanocycler. Any tier 3 implant combined with any tier 2 implant yields an ultra charger. That's where most of mine come from, but I also get them with certs.

The overall point is that you don't need to spend any more than 15 bucks a month on this game, and you get easier access to everything.

Pay for a XP boost or squad XP boost? Or pay for membership which gives xp boosts as well. Or just outright buy the weapon for DGC cash. I'd imagine all the cert cost reductions went to non-weapon items.

Did you guys miss the part where they give new players up to BR15 more cert points when gaining each battle rank? Wait, just noticed it's only 1500 extra certs total for BR15? Ok, perhaps that number needs to be increased and maybe they should give all existing characters already past BR15 the extra cert points that are now being awarded for each rank up to BR15?

The recent changes they made will be the slow downfall of PS2.

How about we offer ideas and solutions to the changes if we are in such disagreement (or vice versa and voice your support of the changes) instead of going straight to the game will die a slow death, no one wants to see that.

From the looks of things all of DBGs changes up until this patch have been pretty good (cosmetic changes of max weapon look GOOD), with enough constructive feedback the playerbase could keep that trend going instead of just complaining.

Pathetic, this game has so many freeloaders and whinos it's not surprising they had to fire half the staff, will it hurt you cheapos to spend 20 measly pathetic bucks on the only game of its kind? Support it? Don't answer, by how many here are ******** and crying about prices we could end California's drought with their tears alone!

You do realize some of us have spent quite a bit of money on this game and are still in disagreement with the changes right? Consider the fact that not everybody wants to spend money on weapons and would rather spend money on membership and cosmetics, not to mention in the game being free even if players aren't paying we still want as many people playing for as long as possible, one good way to do this is by making in game rewards (lower end infantry weapons, vehicle weapons that used to cost 100-500 certs) attainable within a feasible time frame, with the price hikes those time frames seem a lot less feasible.
  11. BloodyG

Most of us "Freeloaders" spend money on the game, the problem is that DBG wants to **** us over with their pricing and you don't have a sub either so maybe you should get down from your high horse..

Some people consider it pay-to-win pricing. I wouldn't go as far to say that it's pay-to-win because most of the starter weapons are pretty good. The other weapons you want cause they are situational or better suite your advanced play style. Of course, some of the weapon attachments help a bunch. Did the cert costs for the attachments go down? Because that would be something nice to help offset the higher weapon prices.

EDIT: All that being said, I do wish that they would have some weapons that were tied directly to BR and cost significantly less in certs and not able to be bought with DGC cash. This would allow the weapon to be better then your average side-grade weapon you can get by just sinking real money in to it. That way it can't be considered a pay-to-win weapon. But this probably throws in all kinds of complications with the existing weapons I haven't thought about. They'd really have to think what those special weapons would have stat wise and how that compares with the weapons that you can pay for.
  13. Cyanstorm

Wrong, I have an annual membership and have always been a subscriber, even when I am gone at months at a time I still kept my sub, and I have spent hundreds of dollars in SC, I do it because I would like for this game to be around for some time to come, and that's the best way I can help with that.
  14. BloodyG

congrats you are an idiot that throws money at stuff he doesn't even uses, lol.
  15. Antillie

I'll be sure to remember that the next time I buy life insurance. Or the next time I go to a local family business instead of the slightly cheaper super mega mart chain.

Are you familiar with the concept of voting with your wallet?

The insult is increasing the prices and only giving new players 1500 certs, congrats newbie you can buy 1 weapon and most of another, now get f'd by a BR100 that has everything.
  17. Antillie

Why would a new player need to buy a weapon?

I go toe to toe with BR 90+ people all the time on my BR 15 VS alt and do just fine with the default gun.
  18. lothbrook

Anyone still spending money on PS2 is being foolish.

Yes i am, are you familiar with scams?
Have i missed that you get a life insurance here or that DBG is a family business?

What parallels get drawn here you guys make some jokes it's gorgeous.:D
  20. lothbrook

Yes, cause all factions start with the Orion, and only play infantry.
