    Whilst that may be true - they way the movement mechanics, weapon damage, HSM, nanoweave, overshields, cloaking, roadkills etc work can all be modified to minimise the impact that clientside has (or at least reduce the ability to exploit it).

    Eventually you could turn it into Donkey Kong and solve all existing issues, yes.

    Not a chance. Their servers already die with most of the calculations being client side, and even games like BF have theses similar issue. It really shouldn't be surprising anyway, as even games that do way more checks and calcs server side still suffer from peeker's advantage and ping discrepancies.

    It's a little annoying, but it's more that newer/ignorant players don't realize the impact of the mechanic; that most of what they see is ~ a second or so in the past.
